Beautiful setting in the vineyards, Francesco was brilliant very knowledgeable and great character! Would recommend to anyone visiting Tuscany, lovely tour and tasting of many very nice wines!

Beautiful place, wonderful people. they accepted us to the tour even though we did not had proper reservation.

Oggi io ed il mio ragazzo abbiamo deciso di concederci una giornata di relax tra le bellissime valli del Chianti . Al nostro arrivo alla Fattoria di Montemaggio, siamo stati accolti da Franceco, un ragazzo molto gentile ed educato, solare e disponibile. Ci tengo a sottolineare che l'azienda si è dimostrata sin da subito pet friendly , venendo incontro alle esigenze del nostro cane ( questa attenzione è stata apprezzatissimo da parte nostra). Iniziato il tour del vigneto , Francesco ha raccontato non una storia qualsiasi ( commerciale e scontata , ripetuta a macchinetta) bensì ha condiviso con noi la SUA storia , la sua passione più sentita e più vera. Un ragazzo davvero molto competente , preparato , capace di trasmettere entusiasmo, voglia di fare e di essere . Si è percepito l'amore e la dedizione per il vino in ogni sua parola.
La spiegazione è stata affascinante ed avvincente, ricca di dettagli e curiosità che mai nessuno prima ci aveva raccontato con altrettanta cura. Montemaggio sembra un luogo rimasto incontaminato dallo scorrere del tempo e si distingue con fierezza da tutto cio' che ormai , al giorno d'oggi, risulta monotono e commerciale. Insomma, una genuina avvenura tra la storia del Chianti.
Un'ampia gamma di ottimi vini ed un sottofondo di pianoforte , non deluderanno i vostri occhi, la vostra mente ed il palato....il tutto accompagnato da snack buonissimi . Grazie Francesco, oggi torneremo a casa con un bellissimo ricordo della Toscana !!!
Concludo con una frase a parer mio molto pertinente ...... buon viaggio a tutti !

La spiegazione è stata affascinante ed avvincente, ricca di dettagli e curiosità che mai nessuno prima ci aveva raccontato con altrettanta cura. What a wonderful, wonderful place. The road to the villa is terrible, dirt and rocks the last 6 kilometers but after that the experience is marvelous. The explanation of the growing and wine making process ‘‘twas the best we experienced in Tuscany.
The wine itself was excellent and their n site olive oil was the best!!
I highly recommend a visit and add the pic nic so a truly special experience

Although the winery is difficult to reach requiring some driving on dirt roads, the extra effort is rewarded by the tour with the winery manager who is an agronomist and the wine-maker. She gives great information on how the grapes and wine are produced and is of course very knowledgeable about their vintages. She is warm and welcoming and is very interested in making the experience wonderful for everyone.

We had an amazing experience! The wine as well as the tour were great and our guide seemed very passionate about his work. You can only reach the vineyard via a gravel road as it is a bit secluded. Don't get discouraged if the road gets a bit rocky!

Francesco created the best wine tour I've ever had. He combined hospitality along with his excellent knowledge base along to create a fun, comfortable and memorable experience. Delicious wine selection. Beautiful vineyard down a long dirt road made for an adventure we will never forget. Would totally recommend 5/5!

Ad agosto siamo stati in vacanza nella zona del Chianti Classico e abbiamo scelto questa azienda per effettuare una degustazione . È stata una bellissima esperienza anche per i nostri figli di 7 e 12 anni . Bella visita al posto incantevole , guida molto esaustiva e competente che ci ha trasmesso la sua passione . 8 vini degustati davvero buoni accompagnati da altrettanto ottimi formaggi e salumi . This was our 2nd visit to Montemaggio and I wrote a review on Trip Advisor back in 2019. That was a beautiful day spent with family and friends. Since that visit in 2016, the wines that Montemaggio produces continue to be a part of our dinners, BBQs, happy hours, get togethers, etc.
The staff at Montemaggio are wonderful people. They are knowledgeable, friendly, accommodating, and just know how to make everyone feel welcomed and included. You combine that with the most breathtaking views in Chianti/Tuscany and you will want to come back again and again!
This time around we booked a lunch with a tasting. What a wonderful day! Greeted again by Francesco, the lunch of meats, cheeses, bruschettas, and pasta combined with the wonderful array of Montemaggio wines— so good. Francesco is impressively knowledgeable about wine, the region, etc. My 15 and 17 yr old are not wine drinkers yet of course but Francesco was so engaging and friendly, plus the views, my kids had a great time too.
This small picturesque winery is literally a diamond in the rough. When in Chianti, you will have a great time tasting wine. Montemaggio has an assortment of experiences that they offer. We will someday return to Tuscany, we will be returning!
