My partner and I went on the Boggo Road Gaol history tour during the day and had the amazing Kim as our guide. Could not recommend Kim and the whole experience enough! Was such a fun and interactive experience, we learnt a lot and really enjoyed all aspects of this experience.

I think the buildings are the best part of this tour, I wouldn’t call it much of a ghost tour as I think money could be better spent elsewhere for this type of thing

We work so hard to balance storytelling / time to explore cells / time to see our exhibition about punishment and the gallows, and questions and answers as well to show as much of the prison as possible. If you are looking for ghosts jumping out or staged horror themed experiences, it is just not what we do at Ghost Tours Australia - we offer real ghost storytelling at historic sites and places known to be really haunted - equal parts history and hauntings. We are sorry you did not enjoy your experience, and would hope that we can offer an opportunity to redeem ourselves on another of our popular tours in the future.

The Boggo Road Ghosts and Gallows Tour was an enjoyable night-time tour of the old gaol. Our tour guide, Jack Sim, used his enthusiasm, in-depth knowledge and genuine passion to deliver a thoroughly engaging narrative on the history of the gaol, highlighted with ghostly tales. The length and pace of the tour was just right, and allowed time for us to individually explore some of the cell blocks. The was also plenty of opportunity to ask questions throughout the tour and at the end before departing. My son really loves learning about history and this tour did not disappoint!
We have enjoyed previous tours of Toowong Cemetery with Ghost Tours Australia, and this Boggo Road tour provides yet more opportunity to learn more of Brisbane's fascinating history. We look forward to joining more of the tours run by Jack and his team.
Thank you Jack for a great tour... we look forward to reading those books now!

Such a fun and interesting tour! Very informative and interactive, the tour was at night time so it added a lot to the eerie environment of the walk through. Our tour guide was so funny and easy to talk to, really opens your eyes to the stories and history of the Boggo Gaol, would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a unique experience!

Small tour group of 5 (there was 4 of us). Caitlin - our guide- was amazing. Great narrator and clearly very passionate about history of the jail. Very knowledgeable and a great communicator. Highly recommend a visit.

Went there on my own (female) and the experience was the highlight of my short Brisbane trip. Great ways to learn about the history of Boggo Road Gaol, thanks for having me to Ghost Tours Australia and the ghosts there!
The atmosphere was great and lucky to have great group. Sadly I had to leave early and not able to purchase some goodies from the end-of-tour souvenirs shop.
Tour guide was accomodating, clear about the rules and explained the reasons behind to us all. Big thank you to the amazing tour guide!
Heard about the up-coming refurbishment and hope the ghost tour will still be there in future, I would love to come back again!

Boggo Road has been there forever but I have never known its history. Getting up close with a very knowledgable tour guide was an eye opening experience. No wonder there were riots in the 80's - conditions were archaic and inhuman. Thank you for keeping this history alive and I look forward to return visit once the Qld Government completes its refurbished of the site. Closes in March 2022 with an unknown re-open date.

At this stage we are in the midst of training a new guide, which should definitely not have affected your experience, so I sincerely apologise for this. Hi,
I was planning to take the tour in August with my parents. My mum doesn't really walk long distances/quickly so wanted to know if the pace of the tour is a leisurely stroll with stops or is it a bit more upbeat? As keen as I am, I think it wouldn't be good if she keeps struggling to keep up so thought I would ask first.

Hello, Your mum will definitely be able to keep up. We took the tour at night and you don't realize how small the space is as you are in the dark. There is not a lot of walking. A few steps up into the cell block, and you can go upstairs to some of the cells. I didn't but the kids did. They said they saw the same upstairs as was in the downs stairs cells.
