Such a well organised tour, able to tick off a few bucket list items on one tour. Tour guides are so friendly and knowledgeable. Definitely won’t be disappointed.

The itinerary of the tour was a decent overview of some aspects of the national park. The crocodile river cruise was fun and the nature walk on the boardwalk was interesting because the guide knew a fair bit about the plants and animals that inhabit the region. The lunch was solid and the swimming hole was lovely and well appreciated. It is unfortunate that the guide did not tell us more about the forest, it’s age, size, and other things that make it really unique and important for the bio diversity of Australia.
However, the enormous problem that effectively really ruined our enjoyment of the trip was the fact that the air conditioning in the passenger part of the little bus did not work. It just re-circulated the outside air, and managed to heat it up a bit in its passage. We pointed this out to the guide, who was slow to recognize that the AC was, in fact, not working. You know it’s hot when you’re relieved to step out of the cab and into a rain forest. Fortunately, today was a winter day and was only in the mid 20sC (about 80F) outside. However, it was certainly in the mid-30s (90sF) inside the cab! The clever designers of the cab arranged that there were absolutely NO windows that were operable such that we couldn’t let any fresh air in.
The unforgivable part of the trip was that this huge tourist company with many, many vehicles did not send another driver and replacement vehicle to intercept us on our circuit and change vehicles. Certainly, the company would have other buses available, because high season is not yet arrived, and they must’ve had somebody and some vehicle they could’ve sent us to bail us out of this awful situation. They didn’t. Therefore, we had to swelter. The worst part was when we had to wait over 15 minutes for the ferry, and then on the river ferry crossing, during which time even the fan was turned off. So we just baked in the greenhouse effect of the bus.
The tour guide told us this: It also happened to this old vehicle about six months ago. That would put it in the middle of the summer during which it is about 45°C, well over 100°F. We are grateful not to have come in the summer!
Given the poor handling of this situation by the company, we would strongly recommend that anyone seek an other solution than Billie Tea.

We traveled to Cairns mainly to go diving and snorkeling at the Great Barrier Reef. Since we were unable to dive the day before our flight, we looked at other activities in the area and came across the Daintree Rainforest Tour with Billy Tea Bush Safaris.
I am pleased to say that we had a wonderful day with our tour guide, Rohan. He was extremely knowledgeable, kind and friendly. We truly enjoyed the entire experience, but the highlight was probably the river cruise, where we got to see crocodiles in their natural habitat. We would highly recommend this tour to anyone.

Our guide, Matt, was awesome and provided detailed information on the history of the area as well as other areas as we drove to the rainforest. He injected humor into his discussions that made the day really enjoyable. We were picked up from our hotel and spent the next couple of hours driving to the rainforest where we enjoyed one of the great coastal drives anywhere. The hike was informative and fun. Lunch was great as well as our stops for locally sourced/made ice cream. The river boat was great and we saw numerous crocodiles and other animals. Really good tour!

This tour is a nicely paced and varied introduction to the Daintree rainforest. With luck, you'll see crocs and tree snakes during the river cruise, and a cassowary from the vehicle (we saw only crocs). I don't recommend this tour for children under 5 - there was a most unhappy toddler on our trip, which was way too long for her. Don't miss the ice cream!

My friends and I (five 21y/o girls) loved our tour with Billy Tea! I felt like we had a full day without being too exhausted. The stops were quick but I personally prefer quick stops to see as much as possible. The food was great and our guides were very knowledgable. The whole process was really smooth and easy and the rainforest was just so beautiful. We saw so much wildlife and even some cassowaries. Very worth the money!

So fun! Our tour guide Mark was super informative and had some classic banter.
We saw lots of crocs on the croc cruise and our croc guide was a legend.

Hello. I have been away and just saw this. In all honesty I would say no. There is a lot of uneven walking and certainly not pram friendly. I would hire a car and do it as a scenic drive if your child is ok in a car. You will have stops you can do to get out for a bit, but so far as this tour goes, it would be too "busy" for an 18 month to cope with. Cheers, nkob
