Mike, Rob and the team were professional as always and full of information both safety wise and with regards to the Yongala wreck. Rob had all the time in the world to answer questions and a bucket load of patience for divers of all skill levels from AOW and above.
Other than always feeling that safety is an absolute priority with Adrenalin, the vessel was perfect for the day (love lounging upstairs) and the dives were mind blowing. We’ve been out here many times and have experienced some hectic current occasionally on the wreck and regularly hectic surface current. It was ripping on the surface today but once below 4 or so meters it was so calm. On the wreck itself the marine life were going nuts today. Loads and loads of large fish feeding - more than I’ve seen before on Yongala. We could easily just hover and observe in zero current. Utter blissful experience.

Attention, two criteria for diving with Adrenalin from Tonwsville 14 participants mini and weather conditions.
Might as well say lucky to leave for 6 hours of sailing!
Force to change plans with Yongala Dive from a 40' sailing beach 22km. Diving with 15m visi and not believing in the beautiful translucent blue. Wreck isolated on a sandy background vase.Large safe fish,poor corals. The Roaima in Martinique is much prettier....

What a great trip! Absolutely amazing site, saw Manta Ray, Eagle Rays, and a Bull Ray. And so many fish and coral!! Great staff, excellent quality gear and felt very safe the well taken care of. Would highly recommend

Came to Townsville solely for this Dive but the dive center canceled at 3pm the day before, because “only 12/20” spots were booked… they made no effort at all to find a solution (like going nonetheless and just charging a extra fee or whatever…

Booked this dive over a month in advance, called 2 weeks prior to ensure i was on the dive list, to which i was confirmed that i was. Was going to dive on a Wednesday and not until the Monday prior was I called and told that "for some reason the online system let me book a dive that didn't exist".. I then found out later in the week (by chance) that Adrenalin do Yongala dives every Wednesday and Saturday, however their smaller boat was under repairs and they had to get enough numbers to fill the big boat to justify the trip. Would have been good to know the actual reason, and also perhaps be alerted to the possiblity of that dive not going ahead so i didnt book an entire trip to Magnetic Island for it. They did quickly give my refund back for the dive, and offered the vague possiblity of another dive on Saturday, i had booked the whale watching with Andrenalin on the Saturday so couldn't go - surprise surprise the Whale watching was also cancelled the night before.

I have now done twenty dives on this wreck all of which have been great. Some with no current others with a strong current. In my opinion this wreck is one of the best for marine life however when the current is on this dive is for experienced divers as it's easy to get yourself in trouble. Dive this site with a reputable dive company.

Office is useless. Booked the tour through a broker. Called the morning before the Yongla Dive. They didn’t return several calls from myself and the broker until 4pm to tell me that the dive boat was full and the booking system used by the booking agency was inaccurate. They have indicated that this has been so for years, but they’ve never done anything about it. Office was only open 2-4pm during one of the busiest seasons of the year. By the time I got the call, I had booked a hotel and a car to specifically go to Townsville. Cost me money and a valuable dive day. At a minimum, they should work with the booking system to make sure it is either up to date or they don’t include them in the system. And how is it that they are only open for 2 hours on Dec 27th??

Hi Kevin, is Gabriel here, 60 y/o advanced Diver who will have to do a short refreshment as I haven't dive for 3 years. Only snorkelling as much as I can in Sydney harbour.
I will go to Townsville for the first time and I already selected Adenalin, more now after reading your comments.
I am traveling with a friend who is visiting family in Townsville and be diving alone, I'll be there from July 30th and back to Sydney on August the 7th.
I already have in my cart the GBR on July 31st and Yongala on August 1st, I would like to de a bit more of the reef or Yongala and would appreciate your advice / suggestions on what is worth doing. I understand that Lodestone is the prefer spot and from my memories on Nimrod, 18 years ago there is always more things to see around the GBR.
Any advice will be appreciated and if I am lucky and you are there at that time will be a pleasure to be your buddy, if you are doing it by yourself. I am a good and calm diver, just love to enjoy the wonder of the underwater world.
