Not the tour I chose but that was cancelled at short notice so I had no choice.
The group was much bigger than I would have liked.
We had a friendly and informative tour at Jacob’s Creek which was rushed at the end as we had a schedule to meet. Then lunch at Lamberts - I was expecting a small winery but they obviously focus on lunches for tour parties- I think they provided a cooked two course meal for 80+ people.
The red wines were nice.
Then the jam shop at Beerenberg before an hour at Hahndorf. I had a wander and for me the hour was long enough.

Roger gave us a very interesting commentary as we drowe through the countryside to Barossa. Disappointed with the wines at Jacobs Creek. Hard to understand the Asian person telling us about Jacobs Creek. Tour of susrrounding vines was a walk outside the centre to a few rows of vines. Nice lunch at the 2nd winery. - only 2 places for wine tasting. Trip to Hahndorf village for an hour. Not enough time for this place. Lots of interesting shops and buildings. Enjoyed our McLaren Vale wine tasting tour much more. than the Barossa one.

Wonderful day. Roger picked us up right on time. He was an amazing tour guide; friendly, informative, funny with his Dad jokes, obviously proud of this beautiful region and loves what he does. Jacobs Creek visit was great. Lamberts incredible and the lunch divine, Hahndorf an experience and loved the Herbig family tree story…..and to see the tree and imagine life back then…..well what can one say…..
Do the trip….ask for Roger….you will not be disappointed.

The whole trip was really good. Our driver Deep was very helpful, professional, polite and thoughtful. He made the trip enjoyable. Thank you Deep for a pleasant memorable experience.

This tour was much better than anticipated. Not rushed, varied excellent destinations, great food quality at lunch .Toby made the day very enjoyable with a relaxed, informative & engaging atmosphere. Good to have the time to wander Hahndorf & explore.

We headed off with driver/guide, Robin, at the wheel. He regaled us with interesting history and anecdotes as we travelled through the suburbs past Light and Wellington Squares and then onwards through Williamstown and Lyndoch to our first stop at Jacob's Creek Visitor Centre for a winery tour, tastings and morning tea. Bethany next and an opportunity to view some attractions as we passed through. Robin directed our attention to ancient vines, gnarled trunks some of which were 100 years plus. Great photo stop at Mengler Hill and the Barossa Sculpture Park. Saltram Wines for more tastings and some purchases, views of the Pioneer Gardens at Angaston and then lunch at the South Australian Company. We marveled at Herbig Tree, then through Mount Pleasant where the Torrens river starts and then Hahndorf where we had a enjoyable hour visiting the craft shops and other attractions. Back to Adelaide, past Veale's Gardens, and then to our hotel. Robin kept us engaged all day, great knowledge of history and a safe driver. Just an excellent day.
