Clear & informative commentary. Plenty of sites to see options to drop off & pick up an hour later. Easy to board, and clean bus. Good value for money.

This was the first thing we did in Hobart, showed us so much in a short time.
The visitor info centre helped us pick our stops.
Well worth it. $40 was a good price for the ground it covered, especially getting out to the Cascade brewery and botanical gardens.

Nice views, friendly driver but not worth the money, I can’t recommend this due to the cost. Its like they drop you off at places to spend more money

Thank you for the time you have taken to write your review. We are very pleased that you found the driver to be friendly and that you enjoyed the views from the decker on your tour. Our vehicles were selected for their fantastic 360-degree views from the top deck, and our drivers specifically selected for their great people skills so it is always good to read positive comments such as you have provided.
You may be surprised to know that our tour is the cheapest hop on hop off sightseeing tour in Australia! Tour purchase also includes a complimentary guidebook which is full of discount vouchers for coffee, food and attractions around the loop. We apologise that our tour did not meet your expectations in regard to the cost vs value on this occasion.
The hop on hop off concept is popular worldwide for a good reason as it allows you to choose your own itinerary at your own pace for a set price. We appreciate that this type of tour option is not for everyone. Good news is there are many stops on our loop where site entry is free such as Battery Point, the Royal Tasmanian Botanical Gardens and The Tasmanian Museum and Art Gallery to name a few.
We offer full tour refunds if passengers are not 100% happy with their tour. Please reach out to our tour booking office to organise this for you.
We hope that your overall visit to Hobart and Tasmania was a positive and enjoyable experience.

Great overview of the city of Hobart. Christian, our driver, was a lovely man. He was thoughtful and engaging. The tour deepened our understanding of this island community.

Easy and stress free way to see the city sights and hear about the rich history and admire the skills of early settlors. We also took the opportunity to head up Mt Wellington complete with tour guide, would definately recommend, for both the views at the top as well as expert local commentary along the way. Put this on your list!!

Perfect way to see Hobart. Great friendly drivers. May I suggest you take the bus tour all around Hobart and pick out the places you really want to see. You can either go around twice and get off and on at the attractions you want to see the second time or take note of them and go back to the start and take your own vehicle there. No waiting at bus stops and wondering if the bus is coming or if you have missed it. And remember it can be for two days so you can come back the next day and see nearly everything. This really is worth the investment.

Good way to visit the city of Hobart & surrounds. The taped audio giving commentary was not working so our driver Paul had to give his own commentary & we actually liked it better than any taped audio we've had on the red buses we've ever been on. That personal touch knowing it was his first time doing this (with a bit of humour) made a huge difference

An essential introduction to Hobart,the red decker bus shows you all the main attractions in Hobart so you can work out where and when to visit easily!We managed to combine it with a look around Salamanca markets which made for a great first day in Hobart.

We did this trip when we first arrived and had an interesting and informative couple of hours where we saw many of the tourist attractions. This allowed us to determine which ones to go back to later on our visit. Good commentary.

There are 15+ stops around the city. I found the easiest near Lark Distillery, close to Constitution Dock. Check out their website reddeckercomau for a full list. You can pay the driver for tickets at any stops.

The hop on hop off bus was one of the highlights of our trip….we got off at the Brewery and had lunch it was very reasonable and most enjoyable…highly recommend on your trip to Hobart

How often do the buses run? I'm assuming there are several on a loop, so if we exit at a stop how long until the next bus comes past?

HI, The trip lasts from memory from start to finish approx 45 minutes , there are a number of stops you can alight from e.g. cascade brewery, wrestpoint casino, botanical gardens and then pick up the next bus. We picked up the bus from the dock . there is a visitor centre near constitution dock and i think you can purchase from the driver . very well organised and the drivers are very helpful
