My son booked this for us. 4 of us in total went for a trip to Rott Nest Island. We opted for the guided bus tour. Well worth the money as you get lots of facts. But you can also do hop on hop off buses or hire a bike if you're really fit. They have people who go around collecting the bikes that have been left behind.

+ The island is just beautiful. The ride with the ferry was good and I really liked to learn about the swan river and it’s history, the houses etc.
- Although, the bikes including locks and helmets that you could rent extra for about 50Dollars were very old, used and didn’t function well.
Nevertheless, it was a very good experience overall!
Don’t forget to bring enough water 😊

Had a fabulous time in Perth but having the best location was just ace. We stayed at Doubletree by Hilton Waterfront which was excellent and the area is so picturesque and we were able to walk around quite easily and over to Kings Park and other tourist areas. Our favorite Rte/Bar was the Island Brew House just around the corner from the hotel which is on Elizabeth Quay. Food is very good and there is a great vibe there. One thing I would recommend is using the Cat Bus which is free during the day and runs frequently so you can save time and money. There are different bus routes which are colour coded, red, blue, purple etc. You can get a map at Pinnacle Tours which is just around the corner from the hotel right on the quay. We also used this company to go to Rottnest Island and Fremantle and got exactly what we asked for. I cannot recommend this particular area high enough.

I’ve used this service a few times back and forth to Rottnest.
It’s a ferry. No less, no more. Nothing spectacular about it but it is well run and organised and has all the usual amenities (toilets, coffee, bar, snacks etc.)
Probably expensive as far as ferries go, but it’s the only real option for getting to Rottnest Island unless you have your own boat.

A well run and efficient ferry (90 minute trip total from Perth with a quick stop in Fremantle to pick up some passengers). Rottnest Island is truly a gem! If in great shape rent bikes, if you want to see most of the island get an e-bike (booked in advance thru Pedal & Flipper). If you want to see all the island hop on the bus. Great experience.

There needs to be some sort of leeway when you are coming in by ship to board a ferry then make connections to the bus and train to complete your booking, When the ship was delayed making port due to other ships being docked that weren't scheduled. The ship was good enough to phone to allow us to get on a later ferry, but we still didn't make it in time for connections. Tour rang us to see where we were and when we said on ferry, too late they were leaving. Left us sitting on wharf for 4 hours without any lunch or drink, which was part of the tour and only a drinking fountain for water at information centre. As it was all paid for, we didn't take money or cards so could do nothing but wait to get back to ship. No easy of a pair of octogenarians.

Just had an extended stay on Rotto and went with Rottnest Express from NorthPort. Had a great trip over and back. It was a little rough on the way back (due to the swell, not the ferry) and the crew offered sick bags to passengers without being asked which was nice of them, although we didn't need them. Took bikes and luggage and that all arrived fine each way. They also looked after my husband's fishing rods for us.

As with many people I booked my ferry ticket on line not knowing quite what to expect. In retrospect this was probably wrong.
I got what I paid for - a return ferry ticket to the island - and as far as that goes it was fair value and quite enjoyable.
What it did not do was give me an idea of the experience of the stay on the island.
If you are planning such a trip, be clear what you are looking for when you get there. I could have had a much more enjoyable experience had I done so.
You will probably have to travel quite a way from the ferry terminal to experience the potential beauty and tranquility of the island.

This was an interesting experience. Get there a little earlier if you want to sit up too and see the views.
It was pretty expensive so be prepared to be shocked by the cost and also very busy and don’t dare miss your last ferry back or get on the wrong one either!
Rottnest Island itself was a bit of a disappointment. It was absolutely mobbed like Oxford street in London on Christmas Eve on steroids!!
The island if you can get to see it is beautiful but the bus ride taking you round is horrific, stopping to ram folk onto the bus and struggling to let folk off the bus at $25 each to be crammed onto a bus in sweltering heat was not funny.
The driver to be fair tried his best, but just too many folk on the island it sort of the defeats the purpose of the whole eco tourism thing.
We managed to spend a whole hour and a half trying to find a spot on a beach to just enjoy the scenery.
Don’t go during peak season you’ll be thoroughly disappointed, take everything you need and do not forget sun cream and stay hydrated. The food outlets are rammed and expensive $5 for a 1/2litre bottle of water $10 for a tray of fries, although there are water refill stations dotted about they are in constant use and again you’ll need to stand in line to use them.
Be prepared for a long wait in line to get back on the ferry again and do not miss it we watched a couple of folk who missed theirs by literal minutes and it wasn’t funny.
Would I go back, yes when it was quieter and not filled with tourists and screaming kids fed up being dragged around or waiting in line or fed up being stuck on a bus when all they wanted to do was get on a beach, make sandcastles and swim in the beautiful waters.
And yes we did see a Qoukka!

A very well organised trip from pickup at the hotel to our return to Elizabeth Quay.
The trip out took about 1.5 hours, bumpy at times but great fun. The outward journey was accompanied by a tour guide who was very knowledgeable about the local area.

Hello. I tried booking this tour, they took my details, then it has come up with " unexpected error has occurred" and to contact their booking partner viator to confirm the status of my booking. The phone number supplied does not work! I cannot find any contact phone number that works or email address? Can't even confirm the status of my booking and if it has been booked or not? Thank you
