We did the tour that takes off in the late morning and finishes in the afternoon - with no chance for lunch. We were in a small bus (clean; good driver) up to the Swan Valley and then visited Mandoon (a rather large vineyard full of people trying wines), Lancasters (a more relaxing experience with some cheese thrown in) and then the Margaret River Chocolate Factory (with a detour to a nearby building selling Providore products). All the tastings were pleasant but the experience wasn't as good as wine tours I've had in other countries.
And then there was boat trip back to the city. Hysterical is the best way to describe it. Free drinks - and so lots of people getting rather 'jolly' and very loud....and the then crew burst into song. Lovely voices but nothing relaxing about the trip back!

Thank you for choosing Swan Valley Tours, your feedback is important to us. The Afternoon in the Valley with Cruise tour is a short tour which is has limited time at the venues to ensure we have time to board the return cruise to Perth. The cruise to Perth is lively as this is the return leg for those passengers travelling on the Taste of the Swan Valley Cruise and Swan Valley Gourmet Cruise, it is designed to be a fun and let your hair down kind of cruise. The morning cruise is more reserved with morning tea, wine tastings and cheeseboard. if you do wish to try another tour in the future I would recommend our Indulgence Cruise tour, which offers a relaxed morning cruise, lunch and a visit to selection of wineries and a brewery.

If you like wine this is your tour if you want beer or chocolate don't do it. We stopped at 3 different vineyards and had a tasting. We then went to the chocolate store where we were given a small piece of chocolate and an opportunity to buy more. We stopped at a bar and were given a beer.
Although the trip said we would return via boat there was no boat only a bus ride back to town. Nothing here for the nondrinker, the chocolate lover, someone that wants a river cruise or to learn anything about the process of making wine.

Thank you for choosing Swan Valley Tours; your feedback is important to us. Our tours do focus on wineries as we started out as a wine tour company and at the time the region was dominated by wineries, there was only a couple of breweries in the Swan Valley. Since then, several breweries have opened, and we do now offer private group brewery tours.
Only a few venues offer a behind the scenes wine-making tour experience. This does add additional time and is not appropriate for this particular public tour where we like to visit a selection of both big renowned and smaller family run wineries. We certainly welcome non-drinkers, as well as wine drinkers on our tours, and we offer a non-alcoholic drink option at each stop. We can also personalise our private tours to suit non-drinkers, where we visit a selection of produce venues and other activities. We do have four different wine tour & cruise options available.
We hope that you still overall enjoyed your day out with us and would consider trying one of our cruise tours next time.

The first winery was so impersonal, you couldn’t even enjoy the wine, the place was crowded and noisy. The second winery was focused on the group, nice, interactive talks. The third place should not be visited.
The brewery and the chocolate place was too much, I would rather spend more time with a good wine than rush many places.

Highly recommend this tour, we booked very last minute, everything ran like clockwork. Kim the guide was knowledgeable and funny, we felt this afternoon was great value for money…..far preferred the second and third smaller boutique wineries to the bigger more commercialized first one, but perhaps it was just super busy due to it being a Sunday. Great afternoon, thank you Kim!

SVT were very helpful and flexible in organising my friend's Hens Party wine tour. On the day our tour guide Peter was very friendly and accommodating and the venues we're lovely, would definitely recommend :)

We had a wonderful day with friends. Was organised for a 40th birthday. We had Peter as our driver, happy for us to play our playlist and very accomodating. Would definitely recommend this company to friends. Great day had by all!!

Did the half day tour with 11.30 pickup in the CBD. Excellent tour with informative commentary. The 3 wineries visited were excellent, including 2 small family owned ones that would be easy to overlook. Windy Creek winery was particularly good. A beer and wedges at Mash brewey and a taste at the chocolate factory concluded an excellent day. Thanks to Keith the driver who was very good

I had just arrived in Perth as a solo traveller with no afternoon plans. I am a foodie so thought this trip would be a great afternoon out. I was not disappointed. I was met by Kym the owner in her own car to quickly connect me to the rest of the tour. Great value stops. A mix of wineries, breweries chocolate, savouries. Attentive service. Overall a great day out. As a solo traveller I loved being able to drink and not worry about driving too. Thank you for a 5 Star easy Perth getaway. ❤️😊 Jason -Darwin Australia

Hi, I note that the duration is written as "8 Hours", does this apply for the full-day tour? If so, how long is the duration for the half day tour? Let me know, thanks!

Hi Sharon.. I took half day tour. The half day tour started around 11'o clock perth Time and dropped off at the pick up point around 6 pm on the same day. The full day tour starts from 8:30 am to 5:30 pm

We were picked up at the Tourist Coach Stand, located near the Perth train station at the bus bay closest to the intersection of Wellington Street and William Street, Perth at 9:30 AM.
