The bay itself is beautiful and is a hugely popular due to its stunning beaches and close proximity to Auckland. With regards to your room, we always ask for a room overlooking the bay when booking as it adds to the customer experience. It's not always possible when the hotel is fully booked, but we tend to get those rooms if they're available. Our goal is to make sure your tour is as organized and memorable as possible. Thank you for taking the time to submit your review of the tour, it is unfortunate however, that the contents are simply untrue and misleading. We can see from your booking that it was made through an online reseller at a price we have no idea of and in US$. We can state unequivocally that had the tour been booked directly with us and through our own website www.indepedent-touring.com you could not book this package cheaper yourself, it is just not possible! Furthermore, this tour was taken at the height of the New Zealand tourist season when there is no available accommodation unless you are a tourism company like ours holding existing allocations. The reference in the review to booking.com is a complete fabrication.
