Josh was a brilliant guide, full of local knowledge and answered all questions. Very pleasant and patient. Would definitely recommend anyone visiting Auckland to book this tour. Much better than what I had originally expected.

Brilliant tour. Josh was the consummate host, interleaving amusing commentary with the many fascinating facts. Gorgeous views of the city. Very educational. Outstanding value and a wonderful experience.

Great day and we saw soo much of Auckland. My highlight was the crater at Mt Eden and walking around it, beautiful views of Auckland city and the Skytower from there. The tour guide was engaging as well as being our unofficial photographer.Definitely the best way to see Auckland if you are time challenged or first timer like me.

Experience between city districts in a small coach. The driver told what we saw as we went.
Unfortunately we were late to the collection appointment, but the driver was kind enough to pick us up along the way.

Easiest way to know Auckland city in a few hours. Some of the places you would probably not know if you are not local. Guide/driver Paul did an excellent job. Time well spent.

Really loved this tour, I did it on my first day in Auckland and it gave me so many ideas about what to do for the rest of my stay. There was lots of stop point where you could get out the mini bus and look around, take pics etc. The tour guide was so lovely and had so much cool knowledge about the city to share. I was even dropped closer to my accommodation than my planned drop off point at the end. I had the best time and would recommend

This half day tour with Michael Silvey covers very interesting areas and provides lots of helpful information. His commentary adds a great deal to the experience. I’m so happy I took this tour. Michael is a gem in Auckland.

Michael was a great raconteur for the whole trip. He took us around the outskirts of the city to show us ‘different’ views of the city that helped explain its history, culture, geography and future.

This was a terrific tour! Just the right amount of time to cover Auckland and have a sense of the city. Michael was a friendly funny guide who knew a lot about the city and offered great commentary.I thought that it would be a good tour if you're only in Auckland for a short while or if you were staying in Auckland longer - great photo locations for a short or long visit plus enough ground covered to let you know what you might want to see with more time after the tour.

My husband and I are getting off a cruise liner on the 8th April in Auckland and would like to book the half day Auckland City Sightseeing Tour for the morning. We were wondering where the pick-up location would be and what time? Thank you.

Yes, lots of photo opportunities. Our favourite was the one under the bridge looking across the water at the city. Because Mike knows the area really well and has done the tour many times, he knows exactly where to go and he gives you plenty of time to take your pics.

Our Caribbean ship will be in Auckland port for one day . Can we get picked up at the port ?? If not can anyone suggest how to get to city central to join a tour ??

He picked up his people at the dock and then made a special trip to pick us up at the Luggage Hotel nearby. He dropped us off at the Maritime Museum which is close by and well worth your time. We did the morning tour and the Maritime Museum and still had time to make our late afternoon flight back to Kansas City.

This sounds like what I'm looking for on my first day. Is a lot of walking required to enjoy the tour? I had knee surgery earlier this year so no longer can walk long distances, or for long periods of time, and stairs can be prohibitive sometimes, too. Not how I wanted to make the visit :( but I still want to make the most of my trip! Any suggestions?

No, there is not much walking. Actually they can even take you up to the volcano by van.

You will need to contact Michael through Viator to see if he can arrange a tour for you at the requested times. I am almost sure if he is available he would try to meet your request.
