Tour guide named John was outstanding. Very knowledgeable and brought the tour to life. His stories about the area and recommendations were appreciated.

We spent a memorable morning with Jon, who was knowledgeable and engaging. I can’t recommend this highly enough as not only was the food terrific - it was great getting to know Wellington better.

Unser Host Jon kennt die GoTo locations für Foodies in Wellington In- und Auswendig. Wir waren in Restaurants, die wir nie besucht hätten ohne die Tour. Und die einzelnen Gerichte sind auch durchaus sehr lecker.

We had a great time on the Walking Food Tour of Wellington. Our guide, Jon, took us to places that we normally would walk past or would not have known that they existed.
The tour began with coffee and scones, followed by a a local butcher shop for lamb chops and a fish market. Then we tried to a Chinese restaurant for dumplings, a kombucha shop, an Argentine/Italian restaurant, and finally an ice cream shop. We sampled the food at each location.
Jon has great local knowledge which he freely shares.

What a great time was had by all. Everyone finished the day tired and with full bellies.
Service at all stops was great
Only a small walk 11,000 steps as we zigzag our way between all stops

LA Linda Pasta and board af various cheeses, meat, toppers, scones and bread

We have experienced food tours in various cities, New Orleans, Prague, Amsterdam. This ranks up with the best of them. John had great selections for us that allowed us to sample the interesting variety of foods that Wellington offers. The amount of food was enough for a hungry teenager. The information about food and NZ in general was very helpful I highly recommend this tour. Book ahead to assure a spot

I had different expectations for this tour. The tour guide, Jon, was nice and quick with some local knowledge of the area we were in but the food was not great. Since we were in Wellington, I expected the food tour to feature New Zealand cuisine (lamb, beef wellington, or some other new zealand dishes.). It did not. We sampled food from vietnamese, korean and indian restaurants. None of the restaurants were that good. They were certainly places I would not have gone to on my own, so in that respect, it did broaden my experience somewhat. But they are not places I'd go back to either, so tour was of limited value.

We spent more time sitting around and talking than walking, seeing sights, and trying different foods. The price was very high for what we got.

Jon was a fantastic guide and very knowledgeable about the Wellington culinary scene. We tried a diverse range of food from restaurants and cafes we would never have found on our own. Overall this tour very much exceeded our expectations.

Don't have breakfast first! Unless it's really early and small. By the time we finished our tour we could hardly move, so full after tasting an array of delights that Wellington has to offer. Jon our guide has the local knowledge that is so valuable when it comes to finding the quite gems for food in a town. And rather than tramp a beaten path he tailors the tour to you and your tastes. My favourite was the kombucha store which happened to also be a vinyl record store paradise - perfect for my collector husband. The range of kombucha and tastings was a delight. Great fun all round.
