What a magnificent day! Michael, our host and driver, made us feel so welcome. He knew his stuff, and how to handle the van over the mountain roads without scaring anyone :) Can't speak highly enough of Zozo, Moy Hall Winery, Poppies Winery, C'est Cheese and Schoc Chocolates. So glad we decided to do this tour!

Gorgeous place to go. Beautiful winery,fine food with passionate professionals people working there. You can see the love and care they have towards the land and their open warm heart to the visitors from worldwide.

We had an enjoyable day on our 1/2 day foodie trip, our tour guide Michael was a real asset to our day out, knowledgeable, entertaining and we had many laughs along with him, we enjoyed the cheese, chocolate and Winery visits, would highly recommend this tour.

The wine tasting had little description done in a place you had to purchase lunch. The chocolate tasting was standing up in a tiny shop squeezed in with the whole group. Overall not what I would call a foodie tour having been on them before. The driver gave no information

Unfortunately I think this is a fair reflection of the experience you had on the day and a result of me sending out a driver guide without the requisite knowledge to provide the standard of tours we are proud to offer. It was a mistake on my part in an attempt to keep up with demand and I apologize. The driver guide has now been pulled off the rotation for the foreseeable future.
I really do appreciate the feedback and I'm genuinely sorry that this experience was not up to scratch.

This half day tour was perfect. Our guide Phil was witty and knowledgeable and made the day. We stopped at the Remutaka summit lookout, tasted a variety of unusual chocolate options, enjoyed wine tastings and a delicious lunch and finally some wonderful cheeses. The drive, scenery and stops were just as expected. Would definitely recommend this tour company!!

Not much food, for a "Foodie " trip. A basic wine tasting, a tiny chocolate tasting and a good cheese plate (crackers, not the bread as pictured) along with lots of van time. there were opportunities to buy more. This destination deserves more than a half day as it felt rushed and inadequate. Nice scenery and the guide Mike was nice enough.

Sounds like you need our Martinborough Winery and Foodie Tour which is a full 8 hour foodie tour including cheese, chocolate, olive oil, wine, craft beer, lunch and more involved stops at each location including staff led tours of the vineyards and olive groves.
I agree the destination deserves more. You opted for the foodie half day tour (hint is in the tour name) and got exactly that.

Our experience with Simon was perfect! We enjoyed the views, wine, chocolate, and Cheese. Simon was a perfect tour guide - and we appreciated his extensive local knowledge of all aspects (flora, fauna, geography, and WINE! Thank you to Simon and Phillip for the detailed communication and great service. A GREAT day for us out of Wellington.
