I absolutely loved this tour. Highly recommend it to anyone wanting to see this amazing place and learn more about the history and culture of NZ and the local Canterbury area.
There are lots of extra touches that made it special such as the welcome pack when you get on board, wifi, lovely music, morning and afternoon tea, and comfortable seats.
The views are absolutely amazing with plenty of stops along the way for photos and the lunch at the Hermitage was beautiful.
Gary and Nicole were wonderful hosts. Thank you.

Having lived in the South Island of NZ all our lives, neither of us had been to the Hermitage or Tasman Glacier before. We had driven through the area and knew something of it, but the commentary Gary shared on many of the places we passed by was new to us and very interesting. It was great to sit back and and enjoy the beautiful scenery.

We had a great tour in the Aoraki-Mt Cook area with Gary from Maossie Tours. Gary is very friendly and knowledgeable, and took great care of us throughout the day. Though the weather wasn't the best, and Mt Cook itself was shy all day, we had a very pleasant day seeing great lakes and glaciers, hearing about the history of the region, and visiting small towns in rural New Zealand. I recommend it highly, because you get to see this part of the country close up, and you can take in the stunning views as Gary drives.

The best and amazing tour I’ve ever had. I’m glad that I took this trip when I went to Christchurch. Gary (who is a Maossie) will welcome you on board with warm and open hearts, a very friendly and super nice guide. I’m very grateful that they still run the tour even if I’m just the only passenger they have, I felt comfortable all throughout the tour and the best part is all meals (from morning tea-lunch-afternoon tea) are already included. What I love about this trip is it feels like we just went on a cool roadtrip (to Geraldine-Lake Tekapo-Lake Pukaki-Aoraki Mount Cook-Tasman Glacier) where I get a chance to see the uniqueness of some township. Highly recommended tour.

The Maossie Tours are very friendly, dedicated and professional, I was given hand sanitizer and snacks the moment I stepped into the Van, their van is super comfy with wifi and charging USB ports, and videos and music along the way. Gary is very knowledgeable and friendly guide and it has been a pleasant experience to hear all the history surrounding the region. The views along the way are absolutely stunning to see across a varied landscape, I had a great day enjoying the views especially on the 15 min and walking track to see the glaciers and lakes. The tour is Perfect for those to wish to travel to see Mt Cook and Lake Tekapo to tick off your bucket list, highly recommended.

I was a bit apprehensive about traveling with 3 children (5,14,15) but we had the whole bus to ourselves with 2 of the loveliest and most hospitable guides Gary and Nicole. They made our whole trip so comfortable with the added bonus of WiFi kept the 2 big kids quiet and in good moods. Gary and Nicole made sure we had a fantastic day from the best muffin in Geraldine, to snow fights in mount cook, to spectacular views through the whole journey, great conversations, and informative commentary. If you have limited time and want a great day to the lakes and mountains I highly recommend Maossie tours.

It was an amazing day out, fantastic views. Aoraki-Mt Cook was just a cherry on the cake. It blew me away... Most spectacular scenery... The host Gary was very informative, knowledgable and welcoming. 5 star plus service. Could not ask for any more. Highly recommended tour for everyone at any day of the week. Hello, your tour sounds amazing and we are very interested but can not understand the duration of the tour. If you add up the duration of each of the stops it is over 17 hours.

The tour departs Christchurch at 8:30am (or earlier if being picked up from a hotel) and arrives back in Christchurch in the evening usually around 8:30pm - 9:00pm - but a lot depends on the weather and traffic.
Hi dear, my self, my husband and with 2 kids (1.5yr and 7 yr) travelling NZ Christchurch on 6th July and would like to book this tour for 7th July. before booking I would like to know, is this suitable for kids of 1.5 and 7 year?
Also, is there any snow play area, where my kids can play or enjoy in our itinerary.
Also, Tasman Glacier walk - is there access to baby stroller?

Yes this tour is suitable for all ages and we can cater for infants (seating etc) as well.
