I had very limited time and wanted to get an idea of Dunedin. Booking was easy: I reserved my spot several hours before the tour. I was lucky to be the only tourist on this tour. Asta, my guide was ready to tailor the experience for me, acting as my photographer since I was traveling solo. Thanks to her, I now have some great photos to memorize my experience. Asta took me to all the advertised places. our stops were short, but that's the point - just to familiarize myself with the city and to get an idea of where I want to return and spend more time. Thank you!

Great overview of the city and surrounding area! Asta, our guide, gave good commentary, and because there were no other passengers, was able to tailor stops etc. to our interests. The rhododendron dell in the botanic garden was amazing, and the views from different vantage points really helped give perspective.

Aster was a fantastic guide and she actually did the tour just for me, so was extra special. We skipped one location as I had already been there and she was happy to tailor to that request. I would highly recommend this tour

Asta was an EXCELLENT tour guide. Very friendly, welcoming and knowledgable about Dunedin. She took us around the city center, the university, the old railway station (beautiful!), an overlook (can't remember the name but fantastic), Baldwin Street (mind-blowing), and best of all, she took us on foot around the top part of the botanical garden. We enjoyed this tour immensely and highly recommend it!

I am a touring artist from New York who came to Dunedin for a performance. After the performance I had a free day which I spent on an amazing tour with Asta! She showed me around the city, introduced to the history of Dunedin and made the experience very engaging, fun and pleasant. I highly recommend Fantail Tours Dunedin to everyone who comes to the city! You won't regret it! Fun, smooth and very informative. Thank you!

What an excellent tour of Dunedin, Asta was full of enthusiasm and explained lots about Dunedin we didn't know. The 2 hours went so quickly. Would highly recommend this 2 hour tour as you learn so much.Thank you Asta.

Had a wonderful time on the City Tour with Asta, a very knowledgeable and friendly guide with a passion for the local interest and historical areas of the city. Including added little insights which really personalised the experience. Also a lovely wander visiting the amazing rhododendrons and having a chat with Sid and other birds at the aviary in the Botanic Gardens. A real highlight! Thank you for the tour, we learnt a lot and gained a huge appreciation for this big little city!!
Not just for visitors, locals can also learn a lot - easy to fit in over a couple of hours.
