We had a wonderful time aboard The Faith. Adam and Megan were the most gracious of hosts. We found the history of the yacht fascinating and the hike through the forest was a real treat. Drinks and canapés aboard the ship added to the enjoyment of simply taking in the breathtaking scenery. Can’t recommend highly enough!

Can't say enough good about our experience. The Faith is truly a gem of a vessel, offering an intimate half-day scenic cruise of picturesque Lake Te Anau.
We thoroughly enjoyed the beauty of the heavily treed Fiordland National Forest as we sailed along its shores and also first hand during the guided excursion by foot into this protected natural area. Adam and Megan were the most hospitable of hosts. All aboard enjoyed quality food and drink throughout the journey and were intrigued to learn of the colourful 90-year history of the Faith and the dignitaries who have been aboard. The crew went the extra mile to make all aboard feel welcome and be well informed. Using the most modern of translation devices, they were able to communicate effectively with all international guests who had the opportunity to not only learn about The Faith but be actively involved in the journey as they assisted with the sails and even helped steer the craft during its homeward leg...a unique and memorable experience for all aboard.
While Milford and, to some degree, Doubtful Sounds may be the big and most heavily advertised commercial options for a sail in the region, The Faith is a hidden treasure whom I, as a local, have enjoyed more than once. It was a pleasure and privilege to again sail with you and already looking forward to next time!

Absolutely excellent experience. Cannot recommend highly enough. We were so well looked after there was not a moment we didn’t enjoy. The opportunity to sail on a historic boat and then have a short guided explore in the beautiful Fiordland National Park was unforgettable. The tour was well beyond our expectations and the hosts were very welcoming and accommodating. Loved it and will recommend to friends.

We so much enjoyed our Lake Te Anau trip on this beautiful motor yacht. Adam and Megan were wonderful hosts. The weather was kind to us , the lake calm, and the wine and canapés much enjoyed. Megan guided us on a short bush walk and was so knowledgeable about the local flora and fauna. Adam put the icing on the cake with a medley of tunes on the bagpipes.
Highly recommend!

Magical afternoon on lake Te Anau. Adam and Jackie were wonderful hosts who shared their knowledge of the boat and the environment with genuine passion. They were so friendly and made the trip a delight. It was the highlight of a great week on the South Island. Highly recommend this experience and we look forward to coming back for an overnight stay. Thank you!

Paul and Jackie were great hosts as we cruised the lake in a 1935 special. So much better then the very commercial alternative trip we could have taken.They were knowledgeable yet flexible to our circumstances and in full sail the boat was a lot of fun. We had access to the whole boat and permission to get right involved if we wanted to. Also Great views of the closer Alps as we turn up an arm of the lake you don’t see from town side

I love that you didn’t feel this was a commercial trip. It’s always been our aim to have our guests feel like friends, not passengers, and we’re so fortunate to have Paul and Jacky deliver this so well.
Having experienced other tourism activities elsewhere on the planet, we really celebrate our point of difference by giving full access to the boat, allowing photography anywhere, and encouraging people to be involved in the running of the boat.

Wonderful cruise. Adam is a great captain - answering all your questions. The nature hike through the forest with Jackie was wonderful. She is incredibly knowledgeable on New Zealand plant life.

Thank you for your review, it’s always been a real treat to read what you’ve all enjoyed while spending time with us. Jacky does an amazing walk in the bush - I’m glad that you had the opportunity to learn from her extensive knowledge of the park.
It’s just past 10 years of Faith being on the lake, and it’s still as exciting as ever for me, seeing the experience through your eyes. It’s a wonderful reminder of how lucky we are to have all this in our “backyard”.

While our cruise did not work out due to poor weather, Adam was quite the gracious host all the same. He gave us a nice tour of his beautiful boat and took care of canceling the booking on his end. He even offered some suggestions of alternate things to do in town.

We really enjoyed a peaceful afternoon, where we basked in the sun and offered refreshments. The host and captain were really lovely and made us feel so relaxed. The boat is beautiful. The hosts had some really interesting things to say on the nature of the bush and the history of the boat. A lovely time- thank you!

Milford Sound and the glow worm caves are where most tourists go, but to get away from the crowds, to relax and be looked after while enjoying Lake Te Anau and its scenery, you can’t beat this cruise. Adam and his assistant are charming and courteous. Nothing is too much trouble. The restored wooden boat is magnificent.
We enjoyed a cruise, a nature walk, canapés and drinks followed by a few minutes under sail.
Everyone who has sailed so far has given five stars. Why is it not top of the activity list on TA?

I love your review, thank you for taking the time to write so thoughtfully.
I really enjoy that you recognised that our cruise is different to other tourism experiences. We’ve never been to pushy to encourage people to come out with us - we feel that those of you who get it will enjoy it to the fullest :-)
Ha ha!! Yes, why aren’t we at the top? That’s ok, a silver is still pretty cool :-)
