Awesome time on the jet with John. Really fun and educational. If anyone is nervous about it being scary, I would recommend you do this jet boat ride! Bike trail was great too with a few hills to test our fitness. All staff were lovely.

Brilliant team making the customer experience their absolute priority. We loved all of it - the e bikes down the lake/river, the informative but also exciting jet boat (John is brilliant, funny and full of interesting stories. The boat ride was exciting and skilful and always felt safe). After a minor booking error every effort was made to ensure we had a good time and the whole experience surpassed our expectations.

From the minute we arrived at Fiordland Jet Boat office we felt very welcomed. The girls there were very friendly and helped organise us to get the necessary equipment we would need for both the boat and cycle trip.
Then a short drive to Queen’s beach where we met John, our wonderful guide.
The jet boat ride down the amazing Waiau River to Lake Manapouri was full of fun and laughter and information as we planed near to the sides, sped round sunken trees and spun numerous times. (John made sure after the first one that we were all comfortable with this). John pointed things out as we went past, including the areas of a few scenes that were filmed there for the Lord of the Rings.
Once on the lake, the Mountain View’s, despite the cloud were stunning and atmospheric.
We got off at cosy nook beach to learn about some of the native trees and birds. The lush green moss, ferns, the indigenous, slow growing trees and forest floor a beautiful contrast to the lake and mountains. John was a fount of information.
High speeds and spins back up the river before getting on our bikes and then a wonderful, self led 7.5miles cycle ride back along the river on the Lake2Lake Cycle Trail to Te Anau.
It’s worth mentioning that you might want to bring a small backpack with water and a snack/lunch as there is nowhere to buy enroute.

Excellent tour on the bikes and even better going on the jet boat not so much because of the speed but John is an excellent story teller and did show us both the Kepler trail which is stunning and informed us on the wildlife and plants. Best activity in Te Anau that we tried!

Called into office to enquire about bike hire, before we knew it, Abby had us signed up to do the jetboat and bike combo. Her enthusiasm and belief in the combo on offer had us hooked, and the tour did NOT disappoint.
Lucky to have Lex as our jetboat driver, his knowledge of the area was so informative and combined with his driving skills, we felt like we were in the best hands.
100% recommend Fiordland Jetboats for an unforgettable tour. Well done guys

The right balance of views, information, thrills and splashes! Followed by a self-paced bike ride back to Te Anau along the river. Standard or e-bikes so don’t worry about fitness - give it a go!

A leisurely trip, not really for thrill seekers. We loved it, especially stopping along the way to learn more about the area & the filming spots from lord of the rings which was an added bonus. Definitely recommend ebiking back.
