If you get the chance to do this trip, do it!

Every time you turn a corner, there is somethng even more brathtaking to look at. I could have spent hours ther just been bowled over by the natural beauty. Make sure that you are wearing sensible shoes as there is a fair bit of walking invovled and some of it is up hill.
The mini bus driver, Bob, was lovely. Knowledgable and very friendly. Lots of local stories and a great advocate for New Zealand.

Hokitika Gorge
We really enjoyed walking around here. Worth doing even when the weather changed and it rained. It would be better to have walked around here on a dry day but worth getting wet for.

Kiwi seeing my country
We did the walk again after a number of years and it was a good experience the views were stunning, looking forward to returning to do the Zipline in the future. Afterwards we enjoyed a good coffee at the Cafe but due to staffing shortages there was no kitchen open. That's such a shame when they are one the Wilderness trail and lots of cyclists were stopping off for food and refreshments

What a wonderful way to explore Greymouth and surrounding areas! I really appreciate the insightful commentary offered by Paul, especially around Māori history and local conservation efforts. Thank you for sharing the wild west coast with us! Recommend this tour operator for anyone visiting Greymouth.

The tour guide Trevor Molloy was a racist, misogynistic, arrogant man who bombarded us with his judgemental redneck opinions. A lot of the rants were nothing to do with the tour, except those against the 'greenie protestors' who wanted mining stopped because of the loss of native forests; the Māori who stopped him stealing the greenstone from their rivers; and the people who wanted him to pronounce Māori words properly. We were very concerned the overseas tourists with us would get a terrible impression of New Zealanders by being exposed to his views.

Worth the trip out there

It is a little way out on the road to no where from Hokitika worth a trip out, we only went as far as the first swing bridge got some good photos.

Breathtakingly Beautiful

This walk will take your breath away.
The color of the water can't be truly captured in any photo.
Well worth the walk, I felt this was much better that Treetops Walk.

Must do…very impressive
The treetop walkway is way more impressive than expected and definitely worth a visit. A massive impressive structure high above the canopy gives a totally different view of out beautiful rain forests. Easy walk, great cafe. They have golf buggy to get you up hill to start if needed. Well worth it.

Fantastic

Exceeded our expectations. Picked up from our accommodation on time and met Trev our driver who made the trip memorable with his vast local knowledge. A real West Coast amdasador. Unfortunately raining when we left Greymouth but miraculously cleared when we arrived at the Hokatika Gorge and the treetop walkway. Both venues were amazing in their own ways. Got us back to the Transalpine train on time. This tour was a trip highlight and we loved it.
