A fun afternoon with James learning all about Nelson. His enthusiasm was infectious. A great mixture of history and culture.

A great tour well executed. It would help, due to parking payment by card not working if note mentioned might need dollar coins for car park. Since ATMs do not give coins and mostly pay by card tourist's like us avoid coins. Not knowing the area I had not thought that it would be a charging car park

There we only 4 on our walking tour. Nothing was missed and fully explained by our guide who was quite knowlegeable. I would recomend this tour. Very complet and at least half the price of the Shipps tours.

We were the only people on the tour and that was fantastic! We saw so much, could ask numerous questions. James was a really interesting guide and that afternoon we visited many of the places again, or different ones he'd pointed out to us. Well worth doing.

James was a fantastic tourguide. He knew so much and was very funny:) it was an amazing morning with him:) we just felt that he loves what he is doing:) and he had some amazing tips what to do for the rest ou our trip, that was so cool:)

Today Russell and I made the magnificent decision to do the Sunny Nelson Walking Tour.
It was just terrific. James was our guide and seriously he is a 10/10 guide. James has an incredibly generous and happy personality, combined with an absolutely professional attitude towards making the walking tour an excellent experience.
James bought Nelson to life for us. We had spent the previous day in the city, looking around but on reflection, we missed everything.
During our walking tour with James, we enjoyed him bringing to life early Nelson history, the art and cultural life of the city, as well as learning about all sorts of interesting facts and stories.
We seriously recommend this tour if you are spending some time in Nelson. It is well worth every cent.

We were lucky enough to be the only two people on the tour so we got a private walking tour with James. We really enjoyed hearing about Nelson’s past and visiting the historical sights. We didn’t have much time in Nelson so this tour was the best way to learn about the city and get some steps too. James was great!

James and Di were both very personable and engaging and possessed a wealth of knowledge of Nelson's history and sights. We enjoyed this tour very much and recommend it to anyone who enjoys walking tours.

There were just two of us for James’ walking tour which meant we enjoyed a very personal tour from the very personable James – who is also a part time skipper on the local ferry. Despite not being a local, James’s passion and knowledge for, and about, Nelson shone through. James had many stories and interesting facts to impart and gave us a taste of other things to see and do in the town. Although the tour was billed for 2 hours, we so enjoyed the conversation that it was closer to three hours (thanks James).
