This was an amazing tour that kept my 2 teenage sons enthralled for 4 hours, no sneaking a look at their phones at all!! Honza (Jack) was an amazing tour guide, the subject matter is incredible anyway but he told it in a way that was both informative and sensitive. For anyone wanting to understand how the Czechs suffered in the 2nd world war must take this tour as it really brings the subject matter to life. We were so lucky to be the only people on this tour and had Honza’s full attention and could ask as many questions as we liked. He was patient but also showed real interest on what my sons had to say. Total 5 star tour and the best we have been in as a family!!! 2 beers for Honza!!!

Martin was an excellent guide and bubbly. His length of knowledge on the Czech Republic is vast. Martin was also a funny man with good sense of humour which made the tour amazing. I definitely recommend him as a guide as you will not be getting bored.

Myself and my daughter took with tour with Jan (John - I hope I spelled it right!). He was a wonderful tour guide. He was knowledgeable, enthusiastic, friendly and quite passionate about his job. Jan was also fluent in English (we had some bad tour experience in Nuremberg - https://www.viator.com/tours/Nuremberg/Nuremberg-WWII-Courtroom-600-and-3rd-Reich-sites/d5628-127248P7 that sold us English language tour but the Brazilian guide does not actually speak English to communicate with the tourists – and I am NOT talking about accent here).
Jan started nicely with an introduction of the history of Bohemia and then history of Czechoslovakia before the war and then enlightened us about the Nazi Czechoslovakia. We learned a lot– Sudeten land, Czech resistance, and mission Anthropoid! He also purchased a tram ticket for us so we could reduce walking a little bit (which was very helpful for me) and even took us to a lovely restaurant for an afternoon drink. We constantly talked learning about Czech Republic and he carefully answered all our questions! If you are interested in learning about WWII history, I definitely recommend this walking tour!

We did the WWII walking tour with Michal. He was a fantastic and knowledgeable guy. Seeing the sites was interesting, but Michal’s stories about Prague during the war were even better.

Great World War 2 walking tour with Michal. My husband and I really enjoyed this tour. We consider ourselves “history buffs” and learned much new information from Michal. Well worth the time and money. Ps. Carry an umbrella,if there is a chance it might rain.

We were blown away by this experience. Honza (Jack) was not only a fantastic Czech tour guide, he might be the best guide we’ve ever had for anything. His knowledge of Czech history was captivating, and his passion and pride for his country was inspiring. We learned so much we had never known about WWII and Czechoslovakia’s part in it. The paratroopers, whose story is central to the tour, are true national heroes. Our 3+ hours flew by, and we left with stories galore, wanting even more. Honza is a true gem (I think my wife had a little crush), and while he deserves much more than a beer for his efforts, we’ll start there.

My husband and I had the privilege of being guided by Michal last week on this tour. He was knowledgeable, interesting and we really enjoyed hearing a new to us perspective about the Czech experience during WWII. We are sorely lacking in this knowledge in North America. It felt most appropriate that we did this on the 75th anniversary of D-Day. So much heroism and suffering in that generation. Definitely recommend this tour.

We had the best tour with Jack. He really knew the history and was very passionate about it. He was very considerate and walked to our pace. Would recommend this tour and especially Jack !!!

Our guide Honza (Jack) was an incredibly knowledgable, friendly and passionate guide. We were all amazed and deeply moved during our WW2 tour. Honza engaged our teenagers (and the parents!) throughout the day. My family and I completed the tour with a profound respect for the Czech people and their incredible history. I cannot recommend it well enough.
