One of the best walking tours I've ever had! Before this tour I was disappointed with my stay in Prague. Kamil managed to change my opinion about Prague in first 30 minutes of his tour! He possesses the knowledge of the scientist, the charisma of the showman and the passion of the patriot. I strongly recommend 100 Spires City tours to everyone who wants to understand and "feel" the city of Prague!

Vaclav was a fantastic tour guide! I’m so glad that I booked a tour for Prague Castle since there is so much history that I learned about that I never would have known otherwise. The tour was funny, very enjoyable, and the perfect way to spend an afternoon.

We did the tour with Vaclav. He was brilliant, extremely knowledgeable about the history of prague. We liked his sense of humor and he was very easy to bring fun into the important historical events that he explained to us. This tour was absolutely worth it and we would absolutely do more tours with the 100 Spires Tour guides on our next trip to Prague.

Hier hatte ich ein Tour mit dem super nice'en John. Sehr sachlich, freundlich. Unfassbar detailliert erzählt. Er kennt die Geschichte von Prague mehr als gut. Man konnte viele Fragen stellen und jede wurde beantwortet. Er hat sich immer vergewissert ob alle alles verstehen und hat absolut sein bestes gegeben. Danke dafür! Kann alle Touren wärmstens empfehlen. Hatte persönlich mehrere gebucht.

We had the Prague Castle tour with James leading us. His knowledge of the castle and the history of the country (past and present) were great. He presented it in an amusing way, but full of facts and link to the timeline of events. He even did the 30year war in three minutes (chapeau!).
The "amphi" experience was exciting, one of the tour highlights.

I am a dual citizen USA and recently Czech citizen by descent as my mother and mother's family were Czech. My wife Susan and I now live permanently in Prague. There is sooooo much to see, experience, learn, appreciate Love about Prague.
So far we have taken a tour with Nico and a tour with Vaclav.
All tours and tour guides are not the same. Real Prague Guides Is Valery, Vaclav and Nico. They speak Czech, English and more. So what makes a tour and tour guide something to write about.
I have been on many tours in many places. Typically there is a lot of information. A tour guide needs to know their topics. As tours in Prague are in places that go back a 1000 years that's a lot of history. A tour of the history of Prague would require many lifetimes. So how to, in 3 hours, get a a message a story across.
I would say first with a depth of not just facts and figures, but as stories that bring history that you are seeing right in front of you to life. Much of that comes from knowing, not only reiterating facts, but bringing some color into the story.
There are things that humans have done for 1000s of years. Early humans painted on cave walls. They told stories. Humans are story tellers. They past their stories on from generation to generation to generation to...
When we hear a good story we can see it unfolding in our mind. When the tour ended and you thought about it later, a day, week, month, year.. Will you remember the facts or the story, the feeling the sense of the people that lived in the time period your tour is about. In Prague the history is very rich in stories and story telling.
Not everyone is a story teller. What we experienced with our tours with Nico and Vaclav was their lives are stories as well. When we talk with them they become people we not only met but people we would like to know. Our Prague tour was 3 hours and left feeling enriched by the experience.
Yes, I can say some facts I didn't know before the tours but more importantly to me I came away from each feeling uplifted, not tired or bored, about the stories they told us. We are wired for stories. Stories bring life.
Nico is a trained opera singer so when he mentions Opera he can literally sing it. Not your typical tour guide. Fun guy.
Vaclav is tuned in to his group. He is fun to talk to. There is plenty in the Prague Castle tour that facts alone simply are not enough. Vaclav is a native of Prague. This is home. He is sharing his home with you. It is obvious he loves his city. He is extremely well versed in the history and what make it really interesting is the, to us, peculiar things that went on over the centuries. When he talked about aspects of the castle I could see in my mind the workmen, some from over 1000 years ago moving forward in time. He has the depth of knowledge and the personal connection to the place that is special.
We haven't had the chance to have Valery as our tour guide but she is A VIdeo Star. I have done improv at Second City Chicago and she is talented. Always having a take on things with her unique twist and I say that with the most appreciation somewhat as my sense of humor gets it.
Valery, Vaclav and Nico are good people. Very friendly, very considerate, very thoughtful and the tours are fun, factual, friendly, sometimes funny but this is Prague and Prague has its own humor. Being of Czech descent. I get it.

Did both the Prague castle tour (with Nico) and Prague walking free tour (with Jakub). Both were excellent tours and we learned so much about Prague! They also gave us very good recommendations, and if we had any questions and recommendations to ask, they were very enthusiastically answered. Overall a great experience and must say the trip to Prague would not have been complete without these guys! - Ketan
