I have no idea, i am sure the scooter tour company will have an opinion. I will say that the scooter tour was amazing but it is a very long and rugged tour (I seem to recall that we were on the tour for over 3 hours and went all over the city). So, as a parent, you would need to determine whether your child can handle to vigor of the tour.

My son was 12 and he loved it! They let you have a practice first and wait until you’re confident until you set off on the trip. Also they can limit the children’s speed so they can’t go as fast. Great fun you won’t be disappointed

I'm not sure as to the age limit but the staff/owners were really helpful and obliging, so I'd also suggest contacting them and they can tell you. If they can slot you in, I'm sure they will! Whilst it's not overly physical, you do still need to start off with some 'normal' scootering (i.e. you have to push it with one foot to bring the scooter up to speed) and the upper age limit may just be a guide to the average person's ability (no offence - I do note that you are 'active' people!). I'm shy of 50 myself and I found this very enjoyable (and easy) and I don't see this changing in 5 years! Hope this helps.
