We had a guided tour. She was very informative, I would probably have gone back around again to look at information/displays by myself as it was hard to listen and look at same time! I had assumed it was a museum about Schindler and his workers he helped to escape the Nazis, however it was more of a general museum about Poland during the occupation.

We went on the tour expecting to see the factory and learn more about Oskar Schindler but this was not the case. The tour was very informative about the war and its effects on Krakow but very little information about Schindler and how he helped the Jews. The factory was being used as a contemporary art exhibition so we were not even able to see that. I think the title of the tour is misleading and needs to be changed or otherwise it needs to be more geared more to the life of Schindler.

This tour surpassed expectations with an excellent guide to take us around. Some of the insights and history leave you thinking how could that happen but it did. Would highly recommend the guided tour

Wow. The sheer scale of information is exceptional.
Well set out and extremely thought provoking.

Too crowded couldn’t leave our coats as racks were full even though we had pre booked. Boiling hot and stuffy and guided groups all blocking corridors. Way too much reading and hardly anything else to see and most were replicas anyway. Easier to read about it all on the internet ! Couldn’t wait to get out.

Skipped the queue fine. Museum staff abrupt and rather unhelpful when we asked if there were guide books waving us away like we were bothering their chit chat behind the ticket glass. Felt disorganised particularly with so many guided tours on the go. Couldn’t get around the exhibit or view anything properly due to so many people standing and blocking on guided tours. Over subscribed and over hyped.

Extremely informative and more about the holocaust than about what Oskar Schindler achieved and very little about the factory. Not enough time is given to read the graphics because of being moved along by the group behind you. The party numbers were far to big to appreciate the content of the tour.

The museum was a poignant review of wartime Krakow (and wider Poland) and what happened, with personal accounts and experiences.
The museum was well laid out and gave an Interesting portrayal of life in occupied Poland, however I did feel it was more of a literary description (which could be difficult to follow)
On the down side it can be very busy, causing long queues to get into the museum, (not pleasant in the cold). Facilities for disabled are poor, with very few places to rest on the walk through the museum, and that is on top of the long queue outside.
We did buy “skip the line tickets” for a set time, however as we purchased these through a 3rd party website, Viator (who obtain there tickets through Discover Krakow) they were not guaranteed, and so happened to us. We turned up at the venue to be told our tickets had been cancelled. The information about not guaranteeing tickets by 3rd parties is on a notice at the door of the museum.
In conclusion, the museum is worth a visit, but best done on a guided tour for a better experience. Be aware of companies selling tours as these are regularly cancelled. It is better to buy tickets through the museum directly in advance, from their website as these are guaranteed.
The museum is not ideal for those who struggle with walking as their are very few places to rest

The tour was well structured and the guide was incredibly informative. When we booked the tour, we expected to be shown around Schindler's factory, but this was not the case. The tour is a chronological walk through the museum, taking us through the timeline of Russian and German occupation of Krakow during World War 11.
The tour guide went into explicit detail of how the city was taken and how this impacted on the Polish people. There was a section of the tour, that focused on Oscar Schindler, but the tour was much more than. It was very informative and I felt that we learned so much about the journey that the city of Krakow went through during World War 11 and beyond
Thoroughly enjoyed it and would recommend this tour to anyone

I read in one review that the tour didn’t go into the factory but another said they saw Schindler’s office so are there two different tours?

You do go into the factory as such but the only thing that's real to Oskar Schindler's story was the stairs leading up to the office, the rest is all about Kraków and the German occupation there. I personally was disappointed with it but my guide was great, I just wanted to hear his story which didn't happen.
