Great tour to spend half a day near Budapest. Michael the guide was fun and informative and the wineries were very pretty.

It was easy meeting the van and our guide Michael spoke excellent English. We visited three very different wineries - tiny, midsize, and family. The wine was good but not like you might find in Napa or France. Different grape varieties for sure. Dinner at the family property was surprisingly good. The people on my trip were fun…some of us went out for drinks afterward. I was also pleased how much history Michael was able to share with us on the drive out. If you have an afternoon to kill and like wine, I would recommend this trip for sure.

A perfect morning tour, first stop in a traditional village wine cellar, then on to a larger place for lunch. Great wine, good food and very informative guide.

Wow. Getting to tour wineries that are run strictly by the family is so amazing. Seeing and hearing the love they have for their wines. Then tasting their wines. Yum!!!

Enjoyed the afternoon/evening tour with dinner; wonderful people and experience. Our guide, Susan, did a marvelous job of keeping 8 of us happy, entertained, and educated a bit about Hungary. We visited 3 producers and tasted 12 or more wines...mostly white because this is a white wine region. It was delightful to meet the producers...there wasn't a wine I didn't like. Many times a tour like this is all about the people joining you...we had an excellent and lively group. However, I would have still enjoyed the tour if I wanted to be more private...the wine, the countryside, the dialogue were all fantastic. I hope to take another tour with Susan again someday!

Loved the tour! Each of the local winemakers did a fantastic job of showing off their wines, and I certainly felt fantastic by the end of the day!

We had done most of the touristy things in Budapest so we booked a wine tasting tour in the Etyek region--only 30 minutes from Budapest but it seemed like a world away.. Beautiful area. Guide was a local who knew everyone and all the nice things to do and see and by the end of the day we felt like old friends. The wines were fabulous and incredibly inexpensive to buy a bottle. The varied atmosphere of the three different wineries made this a very pleasurable day. And the dinner at the third winery was a melt in your mouth baked chicken. Hotel pick up/drop off was a must after all of that tasting! Highly recommend

A fascinating half day amongst the vineyards and wine cellars only 30 minutes from the centre of Budapest. Tomasz was an excellent guide/driver - he knew everything. We visited three vineyards and the quality of the wines exceeded our expectations. The price is exceptional value for what you get.

I enjoyed the experience but the wineries are very small. The first host was very engaging and there was an interesting choice of wines - but it was disppointing that we had to choose - rather than have a smaller taste of both. The second host was very dull and the wines were more commercial. We didn’t get any info about the processes or see the cellars. Lunch was good. Overall the trip felt very rushed, which was a shame

I am sorry that you had to choose from the 8 (!) samples we showed you at the first place, instead of just offering 4 wines, as it is promised in the tour description. We actually took this trip in December 2022. Then the holidays happened, a new year, etc. and I forgot to review. Anyhow, we were just talking about the impression this trip had on us. Personally, I am always nervous when going on a guided trip with a guide that I don't know, much less other travelers. This trip squashed every nerve and defied every expectation. Our tour guide facilitated it wonderfully. I was left wanting more. Another four hours! Honestly, don't pass this up.

If i book the private tour for me and my wife would your driver just take the two of us? or is two people to small of a group?

They take however many people have booked and adjust the vehicle size to match the size of the group. This is a popular trip, so I would think it is rare that they have to transport only two people. Their communication was very good with us, so I suspect they will advise a different time slot if two people are uneconomical

Me and my husband are visiting Budapest in coming weeks, and we have a 3 year old kid. We would like to take this tour but not sure if there be food and drinks for kids? Can you please tell me if this is not recommended for us.

It seems like each stop we encountered there was some limited gluten free options. However, my suggestion would be to carry your own. There are many places to pick up some good snacks (for cheap) in town. Hey..the wine was wonderful!!
