Delicious food and a good wine list together with great service and nice live music in the background makes this experience unique and a perfect romantic date that you can have in this city. The views were spectacular and 2,5 hours really went by fast.

I booked this for my Husbands 40th birthday meal (it was his birthday that day) we arrived and it was perfect! The girls that worked on the boat were amazing, so friendly and worked really hard! The views were amazing as was the food, even the music was really good. My husband went off to the loo so I informed the singers it was my husbands birthday but one of the girls said don’t worry we have it covered. Once the dessert came out they put in a candle in it for him and played Happy Birthday, he was embarrassed but it was a lovely touch and can’t thank them enough. It was a perfect evening with amazing food and super staff. Over the moon and highly recommended this to anyone. Thank you once again!

Best evening in Budapest Food excellent entertainment excellent. All the staff were lovely. It was very well organised and of course the evening views along the river were spectacular. No hesitation in giving 5 stars

Good views, decent food, nice ambiance, total disregard for nautical safety. This would be a 3.5 star review, but for the lack of safety concerns with elderly passengers.
Danube Dinner Cruise by Legendia:
Summary:
A small boat with a glass top with 56 to 60 seats, 5 servers, a bar, a small live music group, a decent dinner and fantastic views. The ambiance was welcoming. The views are the main feature and they are delivered in spades.
We used electronic tickets to board, which worked without a hitch. We paid roughly $190 for two tickets, and another €10 ($11) for two additional drinks (one cocktail or sparkling wine was included).
The meal was 4 courses, starter, soup, main and dessert. All course were decent with acceptable choices. The service was good given the 60 meals to be served almost at the same time. A trip down the 'stairs' (you are on a boat, it is called a ladder on a boat), leads to the toilets and the kitchen. The kitchen door is open, and it is a small space.
The meal was decently prepared from good ingredients. No dining awards will be won here, but you do get a real meal. The soup is served more warm than hot, a 'hot' shrimp starter was room temperature. A pork main was well cooked, tender and tasty. A red tuna main was well cooked, perhaps a day older than perfect, but tasty and wholesome. None of the food stood out as 'very good', most was 'good' and some merely acceptable. Overall, if you think of this as buying dinner, you are paying perhaps a 50% surcharge for having it on a boat with a view.
There is no was to downgrade the view: Budapest is a beautiful city with dramatic buildings and 2,000 years of history. The buildings are lit at night, making the short trip up and down the Danube really wonderful.
The minor complaint is that the glass top needs to be cleaned; the view is impacted a bit by dirty glass.
Safety:
Without being overly dramatic, safety is a serious concern. The only doors off of the boat have no visible means of opening in an emergency. You would be 100% reliant upon the crew to open any escapes. There were no signs showing the escape doors, and on a glass topped boat, it is not obvious, especially if the lights go out in an emergency.
There was no safety card, no safety briefing, and if one asks any such questions of the available staff, they look alarmed and clearly are not trained in safety. I looked all over the boat and saw no life jackets, fire extinguishers, no fire hose, no safety signs - nothing.
On TripAdvisor, I am being asked to rate several categories; 'Safety' is not one of them.
In a richer country, such a vessel would never be allowed to board guests. I suspect this is typical of most of the smaller boats serving the Danube cruise needs. As a former sailor in the US Navy, I was appalled at the casual disregard for safety given than many of the passengers were elderly and lacked good mobility.
I am likewise surprised I had to mention this gap in a review without seeing any previous mentions. The safety concerns may be being removed by TripAdvisor moderators, or perhaps no one cares.

This is the river dinner cruise to take. Boat is not overcrowded and there are great views from all tables. Other boats looked packed. Food was of good quality and the service was excellent

We had a lovely evening on the candlelit dinner cruise. Having read some of the reviews about river cruises I wasn't expecting too much but was so very pleasantly surprised. The food was good, the views spectacular and extra drinks very reasonably priced. Kept looking for some kind of catch but there wasn't one. For us it was the perfect way to celebrate our wedding anniversary. I recommend this for a really memorable night out.

This dinner cruise was just not for us. My husband and I booked this cruise because we thought it would be nice to see the Danube at night, but this was just not enjoyable for us. The ambience is terrible - it must be the way the boat is constructed, but the noise level from other diners was so loud that my husband and I would have had to shout in order to have a conversation. I mistakenly thought there would be some announcements or explanations of the sites we were passing, but there was none - so I found myself looking up buildings on Google maps just to get an idea of what everything was. The route was repetitive, I think we sailed past the Parliament a total of 4 times. It was beautiful, but once would have been enough. The actual food was okay, but nothing special. If I could do this over again, I would have just gone to look at the Parliament at night from the shore, and found a better restaurant in Budapest - there are plenty of good ones!
