I booked this trip because it was closer to get to the Hill of Crossed from Riga, then from Vilnius. I’m glad I did because it was a great trip. The guide was very engaging and provided lots of insights into both Latvia and Lithuania. He also made an additional stop at a palace on the way back because he thought we like it, which was really nice. Highly recommend.

Very convenient way to visit the Hill of Crosses. The guide was both knowledgeable and a good driver. Very pleasant experience overall.

A must if you ever visit Riga. I booked it before I arrived Riga. The instruction was very clear and the van and driver show up on time. The 9 seater van was fulled on that day but it was okay. We made some toilets stops to avoid to pay 1 Euro for the toilet in the Hill of Crosses. Another stop on the way return and also a Border stop to take pictures of the two country flags and signs. We have one full hour in the Hill of Crosses and I guess it is pretty enough.

The decision of going from Riga instead of going from Vilnius was right. The trip went smoothly and safely. Hill of Crosses is worth visiting.

This trip was better than we could have ever expected. Krista was knowledgeable and offered so many helpful tips. I expected a large tour bus like experience, but this was a small group, which made it much more flexible.

Loved this trip. Cynthia was awesome. My fellow travellers was great! The hill of crosses itself was an incredible sight! Absolutely recommend and a trip not to be missed! 🤩

I really enjoyed my trip to the Hill of Crosses. The driver “Elvis” was on time, and shared lots of local and regional history and context as he drove, and he answered all our questions. He made sure we were comfortable with a coffee and bathroom stop. He was very patient throughout the day and we stopped at a small-town cafe on the way back. I felt bad because I left my phone in his van, but he returned it immediately, extending his work day 30-60 minutes. All in all, a very good experience.

We had an excellent guide who kept us entertained all the way there and back because it is over two hours journey each way from Riga however you’ll never see another site like it anywhere else we really enjoyed it as did everyone else on our tour. Nice small group about nine of us there are over 200,000 crosses all obviously different and the stories behind the Hill are inspirational

The tour was cancelled at very short notice.
I didn't like that at all. Endless correspondence with the organizer. I couldn't change my booking. This was not the only tour that was cancelled at short notice.

Thank you for sharing your feedback. We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience you experienced and would like to provide some context regarding your concerns.
Tour Cancellation: Our group tours require a minimum of three participants to proceed, as stated in our tour description. Unfortunately, due to last-minute cancellations by other guests, we could not proceed with the tour at the group rate for a single traveler, as this would not cover our operational costs.
Alternative Solutions: In your review, you mentioned "I wasn't able to rebook." Despite this challenge, we arranged a private transfer for you at the minimum fee, nearly at our own expense, to ensure you could visit the Hill of Crosses. You acknowledged this effort and agreed to the tour. We were pleased to receive a text message from you afterward saying that you were satisfied with the tour.
Communication: We strive for transparency and clarity in our communication. The messages you referred to as "endless correspondence with the organizer" were intended to explain why a solo traveler cannot avail the group tour price and to detail the costs involved in a private tour, which include agent commissions, taxes, wages, vehicle maintenance, and fuel.
Other Cancellations: You mentioned, "That wasn't the only tour that was canceled at short notice." We understand your frustration with tour cancellations. However, please note that we were only responsible for the Hill of Crosses tour and cannot be held accountable for cancellations by other companies.
Given these points, we understand your frustration. However, we believe a 1-star review is not entirely fair considering that you did end up booking with us and expressed satisfaction with the trip afterward.
We value your feedback and are committed to improving our services. However, we appreciate stating information that is not misleading to our future clients. We are a growing company striving to offer the best experience to our clients, and such false statements can have a significant impact on our business.
We truly regret that your experience with booking tours in Latvia did not turn out to be the best, and we hope such issues will not repeat in the future. We wish you many great tours and experiences in the future!
