Our visit to Arlington Cemetery was great. Derrick, our guide, gave us a lot of interesting information. He was very nice and made the tour enjoyable. I highly recommend him!

Our tour guide Mona was amazing. She was so knowledgeable with a military family history as well as her own. She knew every detail and then more! She pointed out important things and explained everything so well. Highly recommend this tour

We had an excellent tour! We learned a lot and were emotionally moved. Highly recommend. Our tour guide was extremely knowledgeable and a pleasure to spend a couple of hours with. Arlington is such an inspirational place.

Derrick our tour guide was very knowledgeable about the history of the cemetery and the honored interred, including presidents and military veterans. Derrick is an enthusiastic history buff, and we really enjoyed learning from him. Our tour was about 2.5 hours, including the amphitheater, the Kennedy family graves, Audie Murphy's and General Macarthur's graves and much more. Highly recommend!

Loved this tour! Beautiful grounds and scenery. Our tour guide, Pam, was great! So many interesting stories, from the history of the cemetery to anecdotes of those buried there, that we would have otherwise missed. Definitely recommend!

Our guide, Mona, was amazing. She knew so much history about the cemetery and knew exactly where to take us. Be ready to walk about 2.5 miles up and down hills. The changing of the guards at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier was very honoring to the tomb. The soldiers that were on watch and performed the ceremony were very stoic. The grounds were immaculately cared for.

Everyone should do this tour if they want to experience more of the humble beginnings, learn about the history, and gain a deeper sense of the honor of walking these grounds. Watching the changing of the Guards is powerful, but learning about the dedication and commitment firsthand shouldn't be missed. There is too much to see and learn on your own. Go with a historical expert, like Laura, and then go back at your leisure.

Derrick is an amazing tour guide. If you get him, consider yourself lucky. You can tell he has a true passion for the history of the grounds and those who have been laid to rest there. He was able to blend personal anecdotes in with history in a way that was compelling and brought so much more richness to our experience. The stories of those who served were many. This tour was our best and most powerful part of our trip to DC. I couldn’t imagine doing Arlington any other way.

Allen led us on a great tour of Arlington Cemetery. He is very knowledgeable and his pride in the hallowed ground for those who made the ultimate sacrifice is palpable.

Is there parking available in the near vicinity of the pickup point ( main gate) ?

There is plenty of parking within the Cemetery. Kiosks to pay at parking structure itself or in visitors center.

Do taxis go to Arlington Nat'l Cemetery and is the Metro difficult to navigate? A tour guide we talked to said they would bring us to the cemetery but the tour ends in the cemetery and we will have to find our way back to the Churchill Hotel in DC.

I took an Uber from my hotel (downtown) to The cemetery. They drop you off right at the main gates. I also took an Uber back to my hotel from the cemetery. The Uber picked me up pretty much just outside the main gates. I did see the entrance to the Metro very close to the main gates as well so I’m sure that’s easy to navigate.
