Great Guide, a nice knowledge of the mayas, perfect transport, a little excessive all the same for only an hour in the cave, but we were only both with Jayson so it was a privileged moment!

Had a great time with our guide Richard. He was very informative, we learned so much about the history of the caves and Belize. We also had the cave and the waterfall mostly all to ourselves. Highly recommend!

We chose the Barton Creek Canoe tour so we could see a cave from the water and learn some Mayan history. With our 8 and 10 year old kids, we decided against the ATM tour. This tour was great. The cave is beautiful and not crowded this time of year. Kind of magical.
We also added zip lining to the BBC tour. This is a must. We all absolutely loved it, even a couple of us afraid of heights. We did this at Calico Jacks. Tour guides were awesome.
Through MayaWalk we hade one primary guide and driver for the day named Jason. He was very knowledgeable, friendly and patient with us. Thanks Jason!

It was a fascinating tour. Our guides Richard and Kareem were excellent. Richard was very knowledgeable about the history of the cave.

We had a great, relaxed and very informative kayak tour with Giselle through this beautiful cave. Giselle is very personable, relaxed and patient. It was a special experience when we entered the cave in total darkness and silence and inevitably listened to ourselves. Swimming in the beautiful lagoon full of mineral water was great. But beware of the cleaner fish, they will nibble on you if you don't move for a while. :-D Afterwards we could optionally round off the experience with juice straight from a coconut and learned a lot about the fruits and plants from a very friendly gentleman on site. Highly recommended!

We were warmly welcomed by Giselle and Michael who picked us up for this trip. The trip in to the cave is very easy, just a bit of canoe paddling and you are surrounded by complete darkness only your headlamps enlighten the fascinating world of stalactites and formations.

Es la segunda vez que hago este recorrido, la cueva es impresionante y nuestros guías Jason y Michael nos explicaron todo a detalle. A pesar de que nos dijeron que no dan el tour en español, ambos hablaron perfectamente bien en español y así pudimos entender mejor y disfrutar mucho más el recorrido. Después nos llevaron a la tirolesa en donde nos atendieron increíble pues viajamos con 2 niños y siempre estuvieron atentos y ayudando en todo momentos cuidando su seguridad, ayudándolos a perder el miedo y a que se divirtieran tanto como los adultos. Todo estuvo increíble! No se lo pueden perder.

Fantastic day out with Jason our guide. Started the day at Xunantunich Archeological Site early and gained alot if knowledge from Jason. He is very experienced and patient.
Afterwards we drove to Barton Creek and enjoyed a canoe ride inside the cave. Was amazing with the structure of the cave, the absolute quietness as we were the only ones and evidence of Mayan life. We also dropped by the butterfly farm, they are breeding butterflies due to their existence being threatened. Fantastic day out, highly recommend

We did a few tours during a 7 day stay in the Cayo area and Maya Walk Tours is definitely the company to choose! They handle all of the pre-trip organisation on Viator well, their guides are knowledgeable and their rides are comfortable. You can arrange local pick-up or meet them at their shop in central San Ignacio, and if you are driving, there is affordable day parking in a lot just down that same street.
For this trip we went to the beautiful and serene Barton creek caves with our guide Abby and driver Karim. Abby had many interesting stories and shared plenty of facts from archeological research about Mayan culture and their uses of the cave, we really appreciated his paddling too.
The cave is stunning with amazing stalactite formations. Go see it for yourself to really appreciate the beauty!
Afterward we went to the Mariposa butterfly farm where we first enjoyed a delicious local lunch with tasty rum punch and then we got to experience the butterflies with their guides (reviewed separately).
The rides are scenic and both Abby and Karim are super friendly so we enjoyed the day. We even got to stop to buy litchi’s which are always a tasty treat!

A relaxing day exploring the caves in a kano with Jason. A very good guide, where we could enjoy the caves on the kano. Jason explained a lot about why and how the maya's used caves.

We are a family of 6 adults and will be staying in San Ignacio (Cahal Pech resort)
We are looking for an excellent zip line experience (most are experienced zip liners) to be combined with a cave experience - for a full day excursion. We have researched the zip line portion - is your tour in conjunction with Calico Jack's zip line??? We have heard good things about this company and if you are working with them - we are very interested.
