Beautiful scenery and a hike. A great way to spend the day on Lago Atitlan. Antonio was a great guide, always enthusiastic and thoughtful. He also shared with us some words in the local Mayan language.

We did the day with a guide called Fernando. The tour was very organised and Fernando was amazing. He speaks good English and Spanish and taught us some words from his own language (Kaqchikel) along the way.
He took us kayaking, hiking and even went out of his way when we requested some good cliff jumps. He took us to a restaurant in his home town not far from the tour route and made sure we got home safe and sound afterwards. 100 percent recommend and we will be back soon.
Great company and even better guides.

My husband and I enjoyed this tour. This was our very first day in Panajachel. It helped to have a local come with us as we navigated the water taxis, kayaks, and hiking from town to town, as there weren’t really marked trails or roads, and we didn’t know what to expect in terms of prices at first (for example private vs public lanchas, etc). There wasn’t a lot of history or culture education as part of the tour, but the guide was nice to answer any questions we had. Overall, it was fun!

Marcelino was a perfect guide for our kayak and hike adventure - and everything was extremely well run, from the inquiry through to the drop off. Our kayaking adventure was a great workout because there was a little wind that day - and the hike was amazing. We traveled on the villager’s path through the woods and up along the lake’s bluff, a person definitely needs to be of a fitness level where you’re used to hiking elevation gains - but It wasn’t súper technical - just right for an amazing fitness day filled with incredible views.
Marce also shared history of the area; as he grew up here, left to go to college in Canada and came back to share Lake Atitlan beauty and adventure with others. We traversed through a few little villages and stopped for lunch and a magical hotel called Casa Del Mundo, with multiple terrace levels and beautiful gardens.
Transportation to the start and finish were by water taxi, all executed flawlessly.

Look no further for an incredible day on the water and the trail! Marce was one of the nicest, most accommodating and patient guides we've ever had. The kayak between Santa Cruz and San Marcos is beautiful and the hike was a nice way to see a few of the local communities (and get your heart rate going - lots of quick up and downs)! This is a company trying to do right by the local communities and highly recommend them!

Great tour!! Very well organized and Marcelino was an awesome tour guide!! We kayaked for about 90 minutes before starting our hike. The hike was strenuous due to the significant amount of stairs but the pace was good and Marcelino was very accommodating. Highly recommend!

We worked with Lee and his company to both arrange for a house rental in the Lake Atitlan area and to have help in Panajachel to get situated for our stay. We also were able to rent kayaks from Lee. We couldn't recommend this company more! They were super friendly, welcoming, helpful and informative. A must use if you are in this region!

My sister and I had an excellent experience with Los Elementos for a weekend away at Lake Atitlan. We were studying Spanish in Antigua and only had the weekends off so we decided to work with a company to help us maximize our time. Lee (the owner) arranged transportation from Antigua early Saturday and once we arrived our guide Humberto took us to visit three of the Lake's most famous towns via private boat (highly recommend if you are short on time). As a local, Humberto gave us an insider's view of the culture, history, and environment of Atitlan and took us to places such as a Mayan women's weaving cooperative would not have easily found ourselves. He also helped us practice our Spanish. In the evening we had an excellent meal at the restaurant next to Elementos and we stayed in a private home owned by Lee with a gorgeous garden and view of the lake. The next day another guide Mario took us on a fun kayaking trip from Santa Cruz to San Marcos and then we hiked back, getting excellent views along the way. Mario took us to his favorite restaurant in Santa Cruz for a delicious meal before it was time to leave. We so wish we had more time at the Lake but Los Elementos really gave us a lot bang for our buck. I highly recommend using the company to get the most out of your Lake Atitlan trip.

Great guide. Loved how flexible they are in order to make you happy and enjoy the day. We wanted to do a Kayak tour, but also tour of the towns around the lake and they gave us exactly that option, which isn't part of their standard services. Got there in the morning and we wanted to try stand up paddle boards, so they let us try it for half an hour around the lake before getting in the kayaks and paddling to our first destination. Mario, our great guide, was always helpful, patient and open to accommodate our wishes. Definitely recommend talking with Elementos and getting tours with them!!

Kayaking on Lake Atitlan with Marcelino was so fun! He picked me up at the hotel and we took the community boat to the Adventure Center. Once there, we collected nice kayaks and life jackets for our 90 minute kayak around the lake. Along the way, I learned quite a bit about the Atitlan lake region. I'd highly recommend this activity.
On another day, my daughter and I hiked for the morning with Marce. They continued after dropping me off at the community boat. Another great experience.

I have 2 questions:
1. I'm a bit confused on where we can get picked up and dropped off for this tour. Does the tour bus pick up and drop off in Guatemala City at Paseo Cayala Zona 16?
2. How long is the half day vs. the full day?

The usual pick up spot for Los Elementos is Panajachel. You can take a shuttle there from Guatemala City, but I have always rented a car or had a friend drive me. I would email Lee Beal from Los Elementos directly. He can advise you on the best and least expensive way to travel to Panahachel. Panajachel is about 3 hours from Zona 16. This forum would not allow me to include Lee's email but it's on the Los Elementos website.

Can i get to the los elementos center with my car and park it there so i can go on the trip? Because we don't sleep in Panajachel so we doesn't have a hotel for you to pick us.

You can park your car at Panachel and someone from Los Elementos can pick you up by boat. There is no way to get there by car that is safe. There is not an actual road.
