Zero stars if I could. They cancelled less than a week before my trip.
Use Roatan Fun Tours instead. 10 stars. Ask for Jeffrey. A memorable experience!

we stated that it has to be two or more for the tour to operates if we had more people doing the same tour you can join but we had none

We had a great day touring the island with Ron! . Our family wanted to see the Iguanas, and the wildlife sanctuary . We also supped at Paradise restaurant for a meal, took in some sights like an seaside overlook… , did some souvenir shopping, and took pics with the Roatan sign. We we went all the way to the west end —a very happening area—to see the chocolate factory, too . We were sad to see it end when we had to rush back to meet up with our group. There was still so much so see and do. Ron was very flexible and did a great job helping us fit in as much as possible! Thanks to Roatan Anderson Tours for a great day. ( FYI .. tour prices do not include fees for activities, meals , or tipping. Our tour fees were for the guide and transportation to various activities which ranged in price from a free tastings at chocolate factory, to approx 15 dollars each per person for iguana , and again for critter sanctuary. We did not choose to do ATV tour, zip line or snorkeling. )

I live on the island of Roatan part time. When I have friends visit, I always have them book with Roatan Anderson Tours if they want a day of fun with various activities. My friends have all been 100% satisfied with the customized tours and activities. The owner and founder, Shervin Hamilton, is awesome and great to work with. On Trip Advisor, they are rated #2 of all of the 48 Tour companies on the island. The fact that they will customize your trip is awesome and the ability to have a private tour for a reasonable price makes this a perfect company.

We were a group of 14 who were truly treated like VIPs. Our group did zip lining, sloth/monkey experience (once in a lifetime experience!), the chocolate factory (meh), and the beach (beautiful). Our tour guide, Chapin, aka Sexy Chocolate, was truly a highlight of our tour. He made each one of us feel like we were the only person on the tour. He catered to our every whim. He was kind, attentive, and went far beyond any other tour guide I’ve ever had. We will never forget you, Secy Chocolate! 😁

Shervin Hamilton was there to meet us when our cruise ship arrived and directed us to the air conditioned bus for the 17 of us. Made sure we all had cold water and then headed east for our island tour - First stop was AJ's Monkey's and Sloths an amazing time for teens and adults alike. Then on to chocolate tasting and the rum factory with some shopping before getting us back to the ship with time for more shopping. Shervin told us all about his island showing off all the nature sights to see. Very imformative and a great communicator.

I contacted Roatan Anderson Tours online just a couple days before our cruise was set to leave. Shervin was quick to respond and I had great communication with him regarding tour options. He e-mailed back promptly. We initially decided on a tour that would take us around the island, the chocolate factory, the run factory and to West Bay Beach for $45 per person for the two of us on a private tour. My wife then read another review that talked about visiting an Orphanage and and taking them needed supplies. When I told Shervin we were interested in visiting the orphanage, he was very accomidating to add this stop for us at no extra cost. Shervin allowed us to pay a $25 down payment via Paypal for our tour and the rest we would pay in cash when we arrived in Roatan for our tour.
(Before we got on the ship we went shopping and bought school supplies, clothes, shoes and other items for the orphanage and packed them into a duffle bag and backpack. The cruise ship doesn't care how much baggage you take onboard.)
Our ship was docked in Coxen Hole. We grabbed our bags of non-perishable supplies we bought for the orphanage and left the ship. Shervin had emailed very good directions on how to exist the port to meet up with our guide. Outside the gates lots of guides and taxi drivers were there. Someone asked if we needed help, we told them we had a tour with Roatan Anderson Tours and the guy yelled out the company name and our tour guide stepped forward to meet us.
Our tour guide Aaron was very informative and friendly. As he drove us around the island he told us about he history and life of the locals and answered all the questions we had. We told Aaron we wanted to go shopping for groceries to take supplies to the orphanage. He said he would be happy to take us to do that.
Our first stop was at the high point and we were there a short time and took some pictures with the ship in the background.
Aaron then took us to the supermarket and went inside to help us shop. We asked is advice on what the locals eat and what he thought the orphanage could use. Aaron walked around the store with us and helped us pick out groceries that the kids would like. When we tried to help load the bags in the van, Aaron said we were on vacation and that he would take care of it.
We then went to the orphanage and Aaron talked to an older kid to find out who we needed to speak with and showed us inside. We met with and spoke to some of the kids briefly and took the supplies we brought and the groceries we purchased in. It was a great experience and the highlight of our trip.
We stopped for a few minutes at the Chocolate and Rum factories. They are more like shoppes than factories; you don't really see the items being processed, just a stop to shop for chocolate, coffee, rum and rum cake. We then went to West Bay beach to stay for a few hours.
We had access to the beach at the Bananarama resort. Aaron paid for us to get in (as part of our tour cost). It was a beautiful beach with calm clear waters and very soft sand. We were able to use the beach chairs. There was plenty of activities to do at the beach, you could pay to ride jet ski's and other activities. There were beach side bars and restuarants, and relatively nice outdoor cabin style bathrooms and changing stations nearby.
Aaron stayed nearby at the beach and checked in on us a few times to see if we needed anything and were enjoying our time there.
We have been on several tours on different islands and most drop you off and ask when to pick you up. It was very nice to have him stay there in case we wanted to go back earlier or if something happened.
Aaron had us back to the ship with plenty of time to spare. I had time to have a $3 beer at the port before getting on the ship!
It was a very good tour and a great day on Roatan. We left the ship at 10am and got back to the port at about 4:30pm. We cant wait to go back!
After thoughts: We bought some chocolate bars to give to our favorite waitress on the ship. But after we got back to the ship, we found they had melted in the package after being in our backpack in the hot sun for several hours. I would suggest stopping at the chocolate shop maybe before going back to the ship so that its not in the island heat all day. The chocolate bars were in no condition to give as a gift, so we made the 'sacrifice' of eating them ourselves. lol
On a side note - We were a bit suspicious that the guy running the orphanage after he did not want us to take anything out of the bags or boxes for the kids to see what was brought. It made us wonder if he might keep and try to sell the stuff. We took pictures of everything in the duffle bags before we went, and Aaron took pictures of the stuff we brought in the presence of the orphanage manager (for accountability that others had proof). In the future I think I would suggest taking the donations in and asking the kids to help put the stuff away so that others know what was brought.

Shervin was our tour guide! Man, what a remarkable and memorable tour. He went over and above for us. I promise when we return to Roatan we will book a tour with this company again. I definitely recommend this company. Over the top, thanks

What are the different customizable options? We would like to look through local shops, have lunch, maybe go to the rum and chocolate factories (hopefully chocolate factory at the end of the tour), see some photo opportunities, maybe a stop at a nice beach. We will stop there during our cruise and have to be back by a certain time.

Your tour would last 5 to 6 hours you will be free to choose what ever you like to do with out no rush you will Have a private car and driver a-sign to you for the day he will give you options and you design it your way

Our customized private tour last is long as you want them to last on this tour your the boss it can be from three to six hours and yes you can stop at the beach and spend the rest of your day you will have your own private car and driver

Does your tours work within the time line of the Norwegian Cruise Line Arrival and Departure times. Norwegian obviously wants us to book with them, BUT - they do not offer - "Best of Roatan Free Style Island Tour" we like to sight see instead of Zip line, Scuba etc.

Yes they are extra zip line is $45 per person snorkel is $25 per person for snorkeling we take you out on a boat to the reef
