Excellent Snorkeling Experience!

Fantastic snorkeling excursion with Captain Sam and his crew. They did a great job. Some of the best points:
1. We saw plenty of fish in a beautiful underwater reef setting.
2. Extremely convenient starting location for us since we were staying near Waikoloa.
3. Entire crew was friendly, knowledgeable and capable.
4. Lunch was good quality and tasty.
5. Snorkel equipment worked well and the Seasmoke catamaran was a pleasure to ride and snorkel from.

Extra credit: Even though our group was unusually small, Ocean Sports went through with it and didn’t cancel at the last minute. Nice!

Wonderful crew and amazing snorkel and whale sightings. Saw many many turtles and 2 pairs of octopus (but you need to have sharp eyes and go slowly for the latter).

Great snorkeling with a terrific staff!

My husband and I have taken many snorkeling tours with many companies throughout the world, but this was one of our favorites. We signed up at the hut on the beach and the staff there were informative and helpful. We were staying at the Marriott, so it was very convenient. But what we really enjoyed was the skill and friendliness of the staff onboard. Just like in the pictures on their website, besides instructions we received an informative, funny and fascinating talk about the incredible sealife we would be seeing. And once in the water, our "guide" dove down and showed us many of the creatures that we might have missed! The staff was especially good with children. One kid started to freak out a bit once he was in the water, but one of the guys encouraged him and next time we looked, he was happily snorkeling. Also, the food was exceptionally good and fresh. We had a pretty windy day that clouded up, so as far as the weather, the snorkeling wasn't ideal, but that was not the fault of the staff, who did all they could to make it a great time. The catamaran we were on had quite a history, so ask the captain about that. We were fortunate to have a small group on board that day, so maybe we received exceptional attention, but we were very happy and would go again with Ocean Sports again.

Great Experience - Would Book Again!

Amazing morning with the Ocean Sports crew! Easy drop off/check in and we got moving quickly. The crew were so helpful and friendly with all of our questions. Snorkeling was amazing, saw so many different fish and anemones and even a sea cucumber! The boat is great, with tables inside for shade and seats up front and on the back for a bit of sun pre/post snorkeling.

Great experience

Great boat, great staff, great snorkeling. Dave is terrific and our whole family had fun - we saw two turtles and enjoyed the food and drinks on the way back to port.

Fun morning snorkel cruise

Fun morning out on the water! Our family enjoyed this snorkeling cruise to Puako from Kawaihae very much. Our crew Sam, Mike, Scott and Kai were great! They were knowledgeable and covered snorkeling safety as well as a good marine life briefing before allowing us to jump in. We were provided with everything we needed to enjoy the day. We were able to see Manta Rays, Turtles, Reef Sharks and a variety of beautiful fish during our 1 hour snorkel. The staff definitely kept an eye for everyone's safety in the water which is always appreciated. Capt. Sam took us a little farther out to look for some dolphins on our way back. As good as these guys were at their real job they were super hospitable getting drinks and food for the passengers on the way back as well! Sodas and juices for the kids and adult beverages were great for adults!

Magical day snorkelling and sailing!

We had a beautiful experience snorkelling on the coast. We didn’t see any whales, but we did hear them, and we did see loads of dolphins swimming next to the boat. A magical experience. The staff (Sam, Lorrie and Tom) were super friendly, welcoming and safety conscious.

Great Snorkel Experience

What a great experience. The crew was outstanding, the snorkel site was full of all kinds of fish(big, small, colorful, etc). The captain even let the kids drive the boat to get some photos taken. Would highly recommend as our entire family loved it.

Clear water, abundant fish, 1st class!!

What a great trip! The captain and crew, the boat and the reef were all 1st class!! Water was super clear and reef is healthy... teeming with fish... what a variety! Captain Will knows where to go to deliver the best outing, and his team shared lots of interesting info.
