Nice boat, clean, spacious, friendly staff. basically snorkeling from a boat. Not too many fish though you do see a number and the coral reefs. We also saw dolphins. A nice experience.

Not really worth the cost. Good for kids and there were several crying ones. The girl host was very nice and informative but the boat didn't go very far out past the docks, only saw coral.

Mahalo for the review. Sorry that our tour did not meet your expectations.
We stay close to shore since that is where the coral reef is. We focus on the coral reef and reef fish, so that is typically what we see. It is a bonus when we see other critters like dolphins.
It is unfortunate that there were children that cried during your tour. We try hard to help parents comfort their children and if there is an inconsolable child that is really causing an issue for other guests, we have brought them back to shore where they will be more comfortable. Not every tour has children on it, and most children have a great time and don't cry the whole time.
Glad you enjoyed the host and her information.

Great experience for 9 year old and 2 year old who weren't able to snorkel. You don't see a lot and are very close to the where you embark, but the kids loved it and the guide was very knowledgeable. 50 minutes was long enough -

Guide was very knowledgeable; however, the hour tour was 50 minutes, we did not see very much and we did not feel that it was worth the cost.

Firstly the staff is great....friendly and knowledgeable. The boat itself is well maintained and comfy. I guess I've given an average rating because we didn't see as much as expected for the price. We bobbed around the harbor for twenty minutes watching the dolphins, which were visible from the dock. Then we rode along the coast and were maneuvered over the same hunk of coral for half an hour with scant fish to see.

Mahalo for the input. We are glad to hear that you found our staff friendly and knowledgeable and the boat well maintained and comfortable.
Normally folks love to be on the boat with the spinner dolphins jumping and sometimes swimming under the boat. The hunk of coral we maneuvered over one of our favorite spots and is a great opportunity to see the fish and coral up close. However, we have received your input and have made some changes to ensure the tour holds folks interest. Mahalo for taking the time to share your thoughts with us.

We really enjoyed this excursion! Our very knowledgeable and personable guide Amy, did a fantastic job explaining everything. Her narrative was informative and well-presented. Lots of room inside the boat, saw many different species of fish and coral. Would highly recommend this tour. We noticed not many people tipped, please consider a tip if you enjoyed the tour, they appreciate it.

What a fantastic way to be out on the water, and see lots of fish, especially for someone who doesn't like to snorkel. We were on a comfortable boat, with a friendly, helpful, and extremely knowledgeable guide, Amy. We spent over an hour gazing at hundreds of fish, some of which were varieties I hadn't seen snorkeling in other locations, and my husband loved that he got to experience seeing the fish in their natural environment. We'd definitely do this again.

Informative, interesting narrator. You could see quite a bit of coral and the smaller types of fish easily. I would have liked to go out just a bit further, but perhaps glass bottoms don't give you much of a view any further. I would recommend to all ages.

Mahalo for the great review and for recommending it for all ages. We are glad to hear that you enjoyed the tour and viewing all the fish and coral. You are right about not going our further. We take you as far as the drop off for a moment and then back to the reef. The visit to the drop off is to show you how quickly the bottom drops to 100 feet. At that point we are just looking at blue water. It is interesting for a moment but the reef offers more to see. We stay close to shore for most of the tour because that is where the fridge reef is in Hawaii.

Description says you "climb down" into the boat--is this via a ladder, steps or ? How many steps?

You actually don't climb you travel over a roll on ramp and down 3 steps that have a rail to them.
