My sister and I did a group surf with Kona Town Surf and it was amazing! We’d never surfed before and we were able to get up more than once on our boards by the end of the lesson. You do need to be a confident swimmer to try surfing, there is a lot of paddling involved. But, the instructors are very supportive, knowledgeable, and made you feel comfortable on the waves. I highly recommend this group.

This was mine and my friends first surf lesson ever and it couldn't have been more fun. Our instructor Victor was absolutely amazing. He made sure that we had all the safety instructions down and had the basics before we even went into the water. He had us go over the motions a couple times before taking us into the ocean. Once we got out to the swells we got started and it was tons of fun. We even managed to stand up a few times. Victor was always quick to praise us for a job well done but also to instruct us on what could be improved. It was a great day in the sun and on the water. Would definitely go surfing again. Highly recommend this company.

I had an awesome time in my 2 hour lesson with Brady and Matt - they made the experience so fun, and as a first-time surfer I even got up on the board a couple of times! Highly recommend

Great instruction from Victor. Participated in a group lesson. I had never surfed before but Victor had me on my first waves in short order. I’d recommend to anyone.

OMG, what a wonderful morning we had with Max, Tosh, and Isaiah learning to surf. Our 2 families visit the Big Island every spring break, and look forward to finding a new adventure to add to the memories. Surf lessons with Kona Town Surf Adventures has to be one of the most fun mornings we have had in our many years of Hawaii vacations. Not only were the guys friendly, encouraging, and fun, but they gave our teens a ton of confidence. At the end of the 2 hours, we were catching our own waves, laughing and talking about going out again during our time this year on island. Thanks for such a great start to our surfing careers!

THE BEST surf instruction and experience with HUDSON. Make sure you ask for Hudson and if he’s not there ask where he is. Make sure to tip instructors personally and not through online. Hudson is your classic surfer dude which made it so fun. Your arms get a workout!

Hudson and Asher did a great job teaching us how to surf and helping us catch waves! It was one of the best experiences on the island.
