Great northshore tour
John gave us a great tour. We learned alot about the area, history and flora. We even saw some whales. We saw things we could not have found or known about on our own. John has lived on island a long time and is very knowledgeable. We liked that it is a family run business. He gave us great suggestions for restaurants and other activities. We highly recommend this tour.

Elena was an amazing guide! She showed us some hidden spots that we never would’ve found on our own. Very knowledgeable in the history of the island and it was interesting to hear the back story. She took great care of us and I’d highly recommend her!

Absolutely AWESOME Tour!
Fabulous excursion!! One you will not want to miss!! Our tour guide John showed and taught us a bunch!! He really knew his facts. We had a marvelous day! Two thumbs up for John!! We really appreciated all you did for us that day!! Thank you!!!

Local guide was awesome

John was our tour-guide and he was awesome. He showed us some awesome places and gave us enough freedom to stay longer and shorter at the different destinations. We saw a ton of the island and hope to come back soon.

Tour of the Island

Overall the tour was very good and our guide (John) did a very good job. He was very flexible with our visits to the various destinations and informative. This is an excellent way to visit the island, and than choose what activities you may want to do after. Looking at the tour itself, I don't remember stopping at the lava tubes, but we did see everything else.

Terrific way to see Kauai

This private tour was the best way to see Kauai in the short time we had in Kauai, 28 hours. Elena is a fabulous guide & extremely knowledgable about the island. She was very patient with our multiple requests & volunteered to take pictures of us. She managed to get us to the marvelous sights before the tour buses arrived; therefore, no place was crowded & we could have a much time as we wanted at each place. When I was looking for what to do in Kauai it was overwhelming because there was so much to see & do. Kauai Island Shuttle & Tours was the best way to do it & was very cost effective. They even adjusted the North Shore Tour so we could be back to the cruise ship in plenty of time. We had no worries for the entire time. The van was very comfortable & water, juice & snacks were provided. I highly recommend this company.
