Loved the city. Unfortunately, timing of pick-up and return to hotel not good. Received email day before that I would be picked up at 7:50, and to please be ready. I was ready by 7:45, van did not arrive until almost 8:15. I was last to be picked up. Large part of the group were "shoppers", and guide seemed to cater to their wishes, making all the timing run late for the rest of the group. 10 minute rest stop turned into 30, and we were asked to meet in main square for return at 4:00. Guide and shoppers didn't start arriving until 4:30 or so, and stragglers (along with their purchases) did not make it back to van for return until almost 5:00,. We were scheduled to return to Fez at 8:00. Because of late start for return trip, and being the last to be dropped off at my hotel, I did not get there until 9:00. My guide from Gate 1 Travel, who was keeping tabs on me by text, said he was getting worried about my safety. In addition, the guide on the day trip sat in the van with the driver, while I waited to be returned to my hotel, counting their tips to divide between the two of them. The guide was staying at the same hotel as the large group. Very unprofessional, in my opinion. I would include both their names in my review, but have misplaced the paperwork where I had them noted. My tour was Sunday, 17 November, 2019. I would not recommend this tour company unless they were the only one offering this specific day trip from Fez to Chefhcaouen.
