Spectacular! The day tour of the Ouzoud Cascades, from Marrakech, is a must-see experience and is worth every euro of the 20 they ask for per person. The Vacation Package includes comfortable transport from the hotel and on the return leave us at Jemma El-Fna Square, waterfall visit, local Guide and the exciting river crossing. There are more expensive options with private tours for those who do not want to share the tour with another 20 people.
The trip starts early at 7:30, arriving in Marrakech around 21:00. The trip of about 3 hours is quiet (if we refrain from the group of young French women who did not shut up for 2 minutes), with roads in good condition. There is a 15-minute stop on a gas pump on the way and another on the way. The bus was new, comfortable and equipped with air conditioning, a real relief considering the burning heat that was felt outside.
Our Guide in Ouzud, Youssef, deserves highlighted for sympathy and patience. He handled very well with the tourists who occasionally delayed or dispersed from the group. And they weren't rare sometimes...
The descent to the waterfalls is steep and requires care, but is feasible in about 30 minutes. In the middle of the way, there is a stop at a small bar where you can drink a drink of water or a delicious pomegranate juice. Along the way there are several sellers with local items. The climb, on the opposite side, is shorter, but has many stairs. With almost 40oC, it was like touring, exercise and sauna at the same time!
The waterfalls are stunning! Despite the large number of tourists, (I have the notion of the irony of being part of the problem too) the experience is unique. The river crossing in shores, sailed by friendly and well-held locations with wheelchairs, and with chair seats type waiting room for dentist, is a high and picturesque point. The jungle takes us very close to the waterfall for amazing photos (prepare to get wet!). The crossing takes about 10 minutes but is enough.
The brave ones can refresh themselves in the waters of the river El-Abid and it is well worth it. Attention to the slippery stones. It is impossible not to notice the monkeys of Gibraltar that are everywhere. Although adorable, it is important not to feed them to avoid aggressive behaviors. Guides repeat this ad nauseum but tourists ignore us, which does not always go well. Sometimes monkeys demand peanuts from those who don't have them.
Lunch is served in a restaurant with spectacular panoramic views, but the food is mediocre. With only two menu options (Tagine with cuscuz or Chicken Kebab) the price of 130 MAD (~13€) per person includes water, bread, main dish and dessert.
The tour is suitable for families - we went with two children without problems. However, I would not recommend it to people who are more vulnerable or with mobility problems due to the rough terrain and the many stairs.
Although we went in late August, high season, the experience was sustainable in terms of crowd. I assume that in the low season it is even better, but I cannot guarantee why we did not have that experience.
The trip to the Ouzud Cascades was one of the highlights of our trip to Marrakech. Thank you Marrakech Travel Services for a memorable day. Bring comfortable clothes and shoes, water, snacks, respect for nature and local culture, and you will have an unforgettable tour. Not to lose!

It was amazing , Mohammed our guide was lovely as well. Perfect experience and I totally recommend if you’re looking forward to visiting, be prepared with your shoes

Really perfect, simple and efficient!!
Our Guide Hassan was at the top and is just there to guide but without imposing himself.
Bonus. Lunch is pre-booked in a restaurant overlooking the waterfalls, with several choices possible, for only 130 mad per person.
I recommend 100%, very convenient with the mini air-conditioned bus that comes to the foot of your Pension

We went via coach not minibus, very comfortable, 2usb ports per 2 seats. Air con was good so could maintain a nice temperature in 36 degree heat.
Driver was very good and prompt as well.
Mohammad the guide was friendly, funny informative and helpful.
Last year I went to Atlas waterfalls and in my opinion this is 100x better.
The boat trip is included (although when I booked there was an option not to include it and there was less than £1 difference, so don't pick that one. You will get wet/sprayed by the waterfall but dry almost instantly.
Lunch is not included - roughly 120MAD per person. If you don't want it, don't sit down. 3x options + bread, melon, tea, biscuits & a couple other bits. Toilet facilities here and also they ask you several times before you get back on.
The walk down is fairly steep & uneven but if you've got decent shoes on its fine. The steps up are better and easier to manage (not uneven etc). It is minor compared to some other activities.
Many viewpoints especially on the way back up. All of them worth it.
There's a short rest break each way (it was very welcomed).
It is a day trip so prepare for that. Roughly 7am - 6pm.

We (were collected from the pick-up point near our Riad and travelled in an air conditioned minibus. This was a full day trip, as it was @ 2½ hour drive from central Marrakech to Ouzoud Falls plus we had a 15 minute break on route.
On arrival we were assigned an English speaking local guide ‘Yousaf’ who was knowledgeable and carefully paced us down the decent to the falls. With several short stops for photo opportunities for the group, especially with the monkeys.
At the base of the falls, we had time to take in our surroundings and then had a boat trip and enjoyed the coolness from the waterfall spray. Afterwards we lunch at one of the restaurants in the gorge area and enjoyed a grilled chicken skewers with fries plus cold water (not included in the cost of the tour) but reasonably priced.
This was an enjoyable rest break of @ 1 hour, before the ascent & proper hike back up on the other side of the gorge. It appears that descent and ascent generally seem to be on particular sides of the gorge, so the crowds were manageable on both.
Once we reached the top, we returned to the minibus for the drive back to the city and was dropped off near our Riad, but not at the pick-up point Riad entrance, which was slightly inconvenient after such a long day.
Overall an enjoyable trip which was good value.

Terrible trip to the Cascades the air conditioning of the van hardly worked and was completely crowded. The waterfall is beautiful, the car driver very friendly and the Guide too. Another thing I also hated was the restaurant that the Guide brought us, very weak and asked more than 5x for a zero glue and never showed up.

Horrible experience! They got us from the hotel, and within 20min we changed van’s 3 times!
The Van’s AC doesn’t work, the USB ports also don’t work, the driver was always on the phone. When I asked about the AC, he replied laughting “it’s only for decoration”.
We were told the trip would take 2h09min with a break of 15/20min mid trip. We left the hotel 8:00am and only got there 12am!!!!
Unbelievable!

It had been mega, very pleasant ride, and it was really a mega day there. The waterfall, and the monkeys are Unpacked especially the food was delicious. Many thanks to the tour guys who made this possible, unforgettable thanks 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼😘❤️

Non, jamais de guide, car je connais bien les marocains, et le Maroc pour plusieurs raisons , et je connais bien le Maroc. Mais en principe les morchides ( guides) parlent Français.
