The cooking class was run in an excellent friendly and informative and step by step instructive manner. I would recommend this cooking class to anyone else that is visiting Marrakech

I've been to several cooking classes.
The teacher couldn't speak loud enough to be heard. We cut vegetables but we didn't cook our own dishes. There was a cook who put it all together. No recipes were given at the end to go home with.

Each cooking experience is unique and different can't be compared
All the recipes were sent next days to all the participants as promised maybe you didn't see them
For the cooking you did all the steps the Chef is just to give instructions

An amazing way to end our holiday. Khmisa and her aunt were the nicest people. I've done a lot of these sort of Cooking classes and this was one of the best ones. The trip to the market was enlightening and we learnt a lot about Morrocan cooking. We made the best chicken tagine I've ever tasted too. Also had the chance to buy some spices from them at the end

Of 10 days in southern Spain and Marrakech, we decided that the best meal we had was at our cooking class! Nice people attending and our hosts were wonderful! Even with a large group of 12 we all participated
And learned so much. It was fun and the food was absolutely devine. Do this!!

Der Kurs war super! Die Organisation einfach und unkompliziert und der Kurs sehr lehrreich, lecker und authentisch. Der Bauch tat uns nicht nur von dem Zuviel guten Essen weh sonder auch vom Lachen😉.

I booked this experience as a surprise for my partner and even though we got lost in the souks and ended up being late, we had a brilliant time!
Kawtar and Khmisa were very understanding when we got lost and sent us a second location to meet them at. We learnt a lot about Moroccan cooking and the different spices. Everything was incredibly clean and well instructed. Most importantly, the dishes we made were probably some of the best food we had eaten during our 7-day stay in Marrakech!
We had the opportunity to purchase some spices at the end of the class for an extremely good price. We brought home some of the homemade Ras el’hanout and are looking forward to cooking our own tagines here!
Overall we’re both very happy with the warm hospitality and teaching we received for a great price! I 100% recommend this class!

This was such a fun class to attend. Kawtar and Khmisa welcomed us into their home and taught us delicious and accessible moroccan recipes that we will be able to replicate on our own. The whole experience was fun and informative. We left with new friends and full bellies. I highly recommend!

A pleasant afternoon in a traditional
Moroccan home with warm and generous hosts. The “cooking” was basically peeling and chopping vegetables, spooning in spices and oils into big pots and then letting our hosts do the rest while we sat waiting in the dining room - so don’t expect a full cooking class experience. There was limited commentary and insights into local cuisine and cooking other than some small tidbits of information here and there. There was a visit to the souk where we were tasked with picking out vegetables, although I wouldn’t classify this as much of a cultural experience. There was a group photo taken although we have not received it, and are waiting patiently for the recipes we were told would be sent to us. The whole experience lasted just under 2.5 hours. Overall, a pleasant way to spend some time but was not what we were expecting following all the reviews.

We don't know what did you mean with full cooking experience as we did all rhe steps together as you described : we go to the local market to buy the ingredients needed, and we prépare rhe meal together, the part of the cooking is peeling and Chopping and then adding spices and cook it
The duration may be shooter or longer depending on the number of participants

We decided to book this class after seeing all the 5 star reviews. It was an enjoyable way to spend a couple of hours, but other than chopping some vegetables and being directed to add some spices to the communal dishes, there wasn’t a huge amount of involvement. Everyone was lovely and very warm and it is a good price point compared to others.

The cooking experience as described we did all the steps together as you described : we go to the local market to buy the ingredients needed, and we prépare rhe meal together, the part of the cooking is peeling and Chopping and then adding spices and cook it and you were involved in all the steps

Hi, just wondering if the cost of ingredients is extra to the cost of the experience. Or if ingredients/shopping is included in the price?

All ingredients are included in the price. Shopping in the market was a quick stop for vegetables and bread. At the end of our meal, you coild purchase baggies of the spices used in the dishes. i purchased the Ras el hanout since it is really a homemade mixture I couldn't replicate.

Hello - if we book the 3pm cooking class does this include a shopping trip to the souks? I wasn't sure if the souks are just open in the morning.

You don’t go into the main Souk area, but shop for food in the local streets around where the cookery course is held.

We met at the Bab Doukkala mosque which is an easy walk or a short taxi ride away.
