Just returned from an 11 day safari as listed above. The trip was made for us by our guide and driver Emmanuel who could not do enough for us. His knowledge of the bush, aswell as his ability to spot animals was excellent, especially the leopards in Ruaha.
The vehicle gave a couple of problems including having to push start in more than one occasion, in particular by another truck when we were 5m from lions and has seen better days.
African Safari and Sable Mountain Lodge in Selous and particularly Hilltop Lodge in Ruaha were all excellent with a great atmosphere.
We were supposed to be staying at Camp Bastian in Mikumi but this was changed at the start of the safari with no explanation despite me booking everything 4 months previously and Vamos Hotel substituted. Whilst this was perfectly functional it was on the main road hence noisy and had zero atmosphere and no pool and was really no comparison. Rajab did arrange for us to use the pool and eat dinner there on 2 nights which did help. This and the dodgy battery on the truck were the only negatives and in the grand scheme of things are no big deal.
I also elected to fly back from Ruaha to Dar using Auric Air and saving a long, long day in the car
If you do use Rajatours and get Emmanuel you cannot fail to have a good trip

It was unforgettable experience. We spent 10 days with Fred, ouer guide. Very friendly, punctual and well organized person. We did all agreed itinerary.
