I am linving in Africa since long time and I was in doubt to have this trip with a tour operator. Anyway I decided to be supported by Savannah and I am very happy now. They selected very good hotel (fit for the family and Italian's palate ) and an outstanding driver/guide (Babuu). With 2 kids of 2 and 4 years we visited 3 parks and we flow to Zanzibar with zero problems. Thank you guys I hope to come back soon in Tanzania !

Thank you Savannah Explorers for an unforgettable trip to Tanzania and Zanzibar. The six days of safari were incredible thanks to our guide Maulid, who showed us the most amazing sights and shared his considerable knowledge with us. We felt completely safe in his hands and he took care of everything.
All the accommodation was of a really high standard.
And lastly, thank you to Soraiya at head office for her outstanding work. We booked our holiday almost three years ago but due to Covid it was cancelled twice. Each time all communication was excellent and rearrangements were all handled with great care and expertise.

Guide and places visited - Thomas AKA Uncle Thomas was excellent. He helped us see the big 5 and a lot more. He was very friendly and helpful. Thomas took the time to explain the history and the background of each place. He also answered all our questions patiently.
One of our kids has mobility issues and so uses the wheelchair. Thomas made sure that our child was as comfortable as possible and even helped with the wheelchair all the time.
He also made sure all of us got enough time to take our pictures and videos during the game drives.
We visited Mount Kilimanjaro, Tarangire, a Masai village, Southern Serengeti, Ngorongoro and Lake Manyara. Each of these places had something new to offer us.
Operations-
Right from the start of the planning, Savannah Explorers had detailed discussions with us to plan our itinerary. All our needs were discussed in detail. After the original planner quit Savannah Explorers, Soraiya took over the planning. She was very meticulous in checking our itinerary and found out a couple of issues and sorted them out by working with us. We are very thankful to Soraiya as well.
Everything was well-arranged. The hotels booked were pretty good. All the staff were extremely helpful and welcoming. The rooms were all well maintained, except for minor issues with the bathroom, phone or a/c.
However, we had two hiccups which made us lose a few hours on two days (one, at the NCA gate where our permits had not been paid for and two, with the hot air balloon organization whose guys came almost 2 hours late and so we had to miss it the first day and fly the second day which reduced our Ngorongoro game drive time). We understand they were partner organizations that had the issue. Savannah Explorers did their best to resolve it in time. But we still lost precious hours.
All said, this was a fantastic trip and something all of us will cherish the rest of our lives. We highly recommend this trip (keep in mind it is a very expensive trip and it may be cheaper to go at other times of the year. We did this trip during the last week of December and the first week of January).

We selected Savannah Explorers after reading a lot of reviews for our safari trip in Tanzania with extension in Zanzibar! Our selection was the best. From the beginning, the communication with the office staff (Thank you Micky!) was really smooth, they helped us plan the best possible trip for our needs! Also within our trip, whenever we wished some help from them, they responded very quickly! And then our safari guide, Maulid! What to say about this man! He is the best! Except for being a great guide that assisted seeing the Big Five and all other animals with his great skills, he is a great person to be with for days! We earned a good friend after all! Thank you Maulid and Savannah Explorers, hope to see you again soon!

Ho prenotato questa vacanza perché ero rimasto affascinato dal primo Safari fatto 3 anni fa in Sudafrica ma degli amici mi avevano garantito che la Tanzania era un’altra cosa. Devo dire che avevano ragione loro.
Un’esperienza eccezionale grazie anche a Isaac, la nostra guida. Sempre disponibile e molto competente. Sicuramente un numero uno per i turisti italiani (parla la nostra lingua in maniera egregia). Asante Sana Isaac.

Io e il mio compagno abbiamo scelto Savannah Explorer per il nostro viaggio in Tanzania. Organizzazione super, in particolare modo per il Safari. È errato pensare che delle migliaia di compagnie che organizzano Safari in Tanzania l’una vale l’altra; il Safari può risultare complesso soprattutto se sorgono problemi e c’è sempre bisogno dietro di un’organizzazione efficiente che sappia intervenire nell’eventualità in cui ce ne sia bisogno. Il tour operator di Roberto e soprattutto le sue guide specializzate hanno reso il nostro viaggio unico. Babù, oltre ad essere stato un ottimo autista (anche grazie alla sua jeep di livello superiore a tante altre viste), un ottimo insegnante, e in generale un accompagnatore parlante italiano fluido, rimarrà per sempre nei nostri cuori per averci permesso di vedere cose incredibili, come da foto, per essersi sempre preso cura di noi anche quando eravamo in difficoltà (il mio compagno ha avuto la febbre alta in pieno Serengeti, lontano da tutto e tutti), per averci trasmesso l’amore per la sua cultura, la sua gente, la sua natura, la sua patria. Tornerei altre mille volte in Tanzania con Savannah.

Savannah Explorers è stata la nostra scelta per organizzare il nostro viaggio in Tanzania e siamo felicissimi della scelta fatta! Sin dall'inizio Floriana è stata disponibile e attenta a tutte le nostre domande e con pazienza abbiamo costruito insieme il nostro itinerario. La parte di safari nel Serengeti e Ngorongoro è stata semplicemente meravigliosa! Molte agenzie vi proporranno un itinerario che non comprende il Serengeti, ma non fate assolutamente questo errore perché invece è un posto che vi rimarrà nel cuore! Anche i lodge e campi tendati selezionati sono stati perfetti. Bellissima esperienza dormire nella Savana! Inoltre, grazie a loro, anche l'ultimo giorno prima di partire per Zanzibar è stato una bella sorpresa con il giro per un paesino locale alla scoperta della vera Africa :) Da ultimo, perfetto Thomas, la nostra guida per tutto il safari: sempre gentile e disponibile, attento alle nostre esigenze, molto esperto e capace, amichevole senza mai essere invadente. Abbiamo avuto un piccolo problema con i permessi per il Ngorongoro che ci ha fatto perdere un po' di tempo, ma poi lui è stato bravissimo a recuperare parte del tempo guidando come un pilota :) grazie Thomas!
Per Zanzibar, Floriana è stata fondamentale nella scelta del resort. Bellissimo, esattamente quello che volevamo! In definitiva, agenzia super consigliata!

Bellissimo Safari di 4 giorni in Tarangire, Central Serengeti e Ngorongoro. Abbiamo avvistato tantissimi animali, tra qui anche ghepardi e leopardi, la nostra guida Richard (che parla un ottimo italiano) è stato bravissimo a trovarli. Abbiamo assistito addirittura a due scene di caccia di una leonessa ed un ghepardo. Uno spettacolo!

Esperienza indimenticabile,condotti da una guida esperta abbiamo visto le meraviglie della natura dei parchi naturali più importanti della Tanzania, animali di ogni specie visti da vicino nel loro habitat naturale ci hanno regalato delle emozioni indimenticabili.
