- Departure359409494210 条分享Very very helpful and professional TatendaWe contacted Cuckoo Safari when we were in Victoria Falls town. We wanted a very sudden request for our tour because we had to change our travel plan duo to the delay of our visas. Tatenda gives us very quick response, good suggestions and support that made us happy and relaxed. We did a day trip to Zambia side that was great. The drivers and tour guide, lovely girl Delphister, is great. We also did a helicopter tour that was also great. Tatenda arranged the transfer to Botswana which assisted us to get Botswana smoothly. Every time I emailed Tatenda, he always gives me a very positive and quick response that made my husband and I feel very grateful. If ever I come back to Zimbabwe and Botswana, I surely like to do tours with Cuckoo Safari. Thank you Tatenda. Thanks all who served us. This is not a village tour, you meet one family slightly out of town. What is interesting is that it seems this is the only family being visited which is evident by looking at the pictures on the activity and traveller's activities.
They live on a piece of land with a few rondavels, the visit seems a bit staged where the homestead doesnt really "looked lived in" especially the kitchen. You pay for the activity, you provide the family with a token of appreciation, you are taken to a school and provide a donation there as well. All in all it is an expensive activity when you combine donations and activity fee. The highlight is the family is welcoming, the lady talks about how a typical day is spent and some cultural traditions which is interesting.

Thank you so much for your review and taking your time to review. We give our guests a chance to choose a homestead they feel they would want to visit, though we have a homestead we refer our clients for the sake of information and experience . On the donation as it is not mandatory to leave any but if highlighted it feels like it was compulsory, which i think it has to come from the heart.

It is very expensive comparing with what you do. They say a bottle of water is included but they don't give us. The duration is not 3 hours, but 1 hour as much.
I expect part of the money goes to the rural family, cause there were very friendly

Thank you for taking time to write this review. This tour its actually depends on you and we have clients that spend more than 3 hours since everything it will depends with our guest. We charge $50 for this tour and part of the money goes to the village. We really apologies for not providing water as the guide forget to give you water. For the benefit of our future clients this tour depends with guests, no rush in Africa

Tour was amazing, wonderful chance to have a glimpse inside local community culture. Our guide Lewis was excellent and helped us pick out some groceries to bring to the community. Really appreciate the experience. Highly recommended!

An excellent way to explore real Zimbabwe culture and rural life. We visited a local families home and the village school. We chatted with the locals, teachers and kids. A really valuable experience for all family members. Highly recommend this!!!

This private tour from Vic Falls is an exceptional experience. Visiting a local farmer in a village gives an insight into the beliefs, traditions and lifestyle of a traditional Zimbabwean family
Displaying generosity and grace I was warmly welcomed into their home and he shared the struggles and aspirations that are a part of rural life. As a bonus, my wonder driver and guide arranged for me to visit a local community school.
Wildlife and waterfalls are indeed spectacular but for a genuine understanding of Africa this cultural experience lead by Simon is outstanding .
Displaying generosity and grace I was warmly welcomed into their home and he shared the struggles and aspirations that are a part of rural life. As a bonus, my wonder driver and guide arranged for me to visit a local community school.

I really can recommend this tour. It was really interesting and a pleasure to see how those people live. It's great to have the chance to see the real live of some people and not just the bright side for the tourists.Also a big thank you for my guides. There where really friendly, explained a lot to me and the pick up was well organized.
