We enjoyed spending the day in Addis Ababa with our guide Tesfaw! The city is amazing and the guide had such a warm personality. Thankfully, the tour was flexible so we were able to stay at certain locations longer if we wanted to, which we appreciated. Tesfaw went out of his way to teach us important aspects of Ethiopian culture and his English is perfect! It felt like walking around with a family member.
Our stay in Addis was actually 11 days total and we booked with 4 different tour companies but I highly recommend taking this tour and asking for Tesfaw. He seems to know more information than the others. Even though we didn’t have enough time to travel to Lalibela, we’re convinced to come back. We will be returning next year (or the year after) to take the Northern Ethiopia tour with this company and hope it'll be with our same guide.

Ho avuto modo di passare due giorni nella capitale di Etiopia (e, a detta di molti, la capitale diplomatica dell'Africa) vedendo con i miei occhi i contrasti che caratterizzano questa come molte metropoli del sud del mondo: aree modernissime convivono fianco a fianco con vere e proprie favelas dove la miseria ed il degrado la fanno da padroni. Sono però convinto che la città può avere uno sviluppo notevole e saprà essere il volano per l'intero paese. Merita una visita per le belle chiese, per i musei, per il caratteristico mercato (forse il più grande dell'intera Africa).
