Unfortunately, TripAdvisor didn't know about the local holiday and so they took my money for a trip that didn't happen. I waited at my hotel for 45 minutes. No one contacted me via email, text or phone. No one answered the numbers provided. When I called TripAdvisor, they said they can' t do a refund without a weird three day waiting period. My advice is don't book through TripAdvisor. They just take your money and then take no responsibility for knowing about holidays or processing refunds.
