On a recent tour in Namibia we spent a nignt camping in our Landrover at Weaver's Rock near the Waterberg. What a pleasure ! We had a campsite with a parking ramp, stonewalled braai area with a table, tap and firewood.
The ablution block was in an old building of great character which had previously been stabling for the horses of colonial German troops.
Our hosts, Gunter and Thersia Brauner are new to Weaver's Rock but already were the perfect hosts. The pool was cool, clear and inviting. The large lawn green and newly mowed and the beer was cold. We asked what was for dinner, Thersia asked what we would like and superbly produced just that meal.
The scenery and outlook were impressive, both near and far away.
Gunter gave us some excellent advice about visiting the nearby Waterberg
With their enthusiasm and energy I think that they will quickly put right all of the neglect of previous management.
