I had the most amazing trip with Engagi Safaris this month! It truly was one of the best trips of my life! Robert and the whole Engagi team made it an unforgettable experience. The main event for me was Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi and chilling at the resort on Lake Bunyoni. Both were incredible!
The resort was a shining example of sustainable and responsible tourism. We had fresh local food and the staff worked so hard to make me feel so spoiled!
The gorilla trekking was an incredible experience, and I'm so thankful to have worked with Engagi to set it up. My guide was in touch with everyone and knew exactly when we needed to be places. It took all of the stress of finding a permit and arriving in the Bwindi Impenetrable Forest on time.
10/10 recommend booking your trip to Uganda, Rwanda, or beyond with Engagi Safaris!

Engagi Safaris is THE best in Uganda, hands down. We did a 6 day tour through Kibale, Queen Elizabeth, and Bwindi and it was truly perfect. Robert and Jesca were responsive and kind, helping us craft the perfect itinerary. Godwin was the best guide! Made sure to build in stops for things we were interested in along the way, and navigated the rural roads like a pro. We also loved having dinner with him each evening at the lodges. We had so much fun with him on the long drives and enjoyed having dinner with him each evening. Our itinerary was the perfect mix of adventure and relaxation, and I loved seeing more of the country each day as we drove between lodges. Wrapping up at Robert’s resort, Lake Bunyonyi Rock Resort was the perfect way to end the trip. Don’t hesitate to travel with Engagi. They will not disappoint. Thank you Godwin, Robert & Jesca! We’ll be back!

Had one of the best times of my life thanks to Engagi Safaris. He has worked with tourists for years and so knows what we want and when we want it. He arrived ON TIME rather than Uganda time. Had a great chat on our way to the park and he made sure everything was arranged for the trek. After finding out it was my birthday he invited me back to Lake Bunyonyi Rock Resort and arranged a special birthday dinner for me. Amazing guy, amazing tour company, amazing day that I will never forget. THANK YOU SO MUCH ENGAGI SAFARIS!

Uganda has it ALL
No better way to experience this BEAUTIFUL AND UNIQUE country then to have ENGAGI SAFARIS set up an EXPERIENCE OF A LIFETIME!!!!
I told Jesca and Robert what I wanted to experience in the time I had in Uganda and they delivered way past my expectations!!!!
Even arriving 4 days late in Uganda Robert was able to shuffle my tour so I did not miss a single tour I wanted to do.
From the 1st day in Uganda until the day I left, TRIP OF A LIFETIME!!!
From Day 1 Robert picked me up in Entebbe we travelled to his resort, Lake Bunyonyi Rock Resort and stayed there for five nights ABSOLUTELY STUNNINGLY BEAUTIFUL!!!
Day 2 lake and island tour as well as the Batwa cultural tour INCREDIBLE!!
Day 3 Golden Monkey Trek. AWESOME!!!
Day 4 Gorrilla Trek. TOTALLY INCREDIBLE AND AWESOME BUT tough
Day 5 Relaxing day with a 2 hour local cultural tour and just to take in this unique and beautiful part of the world!!!!
OH YEAH let me not forget how INCREDIBLE INVITING, POLITE, WELCOMING AND BEAUTIFUL the people of this country ARE!!!
Day 6 travel day from Lake Bunyonyi Lake Resort to Fort Portal visiting the Bigodi Swamp along the way. Stayed at the Fort Motel 1 night
Day 7 travelled to the top of Murchison Falls and did a night game drive in Murchison National Park before arriving for a 1 night stay at the Pakuba Safari Lodge.
ABSOLUTELY AWESOME BEAUTIFUL DAY AND STAY!!!!
Day 8 Morning Game Drive and lunch at Julie's Pork Joint actually ate there TWICE AWESOME!! and the travelled to the Budongo Eco Lodge for a 1 night stay.
Day 9 Chimpanzee Trek BEAUTIFUL AND INCREDIBLE and then travelled to the Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary AWESOME ANIMALS then travelled back to Entebbe through the Capital of Kampala. Myself being Canadian driving through Kampala is a MUST WOW!!! Stayed at the Admas Grand Hotel. GREAT HOTEL!!!
Day 10 Shoebill Swamp tour in Entebbe on Lake Victoria. AWESOME AND BEAUTIFUL!!!
LODGES, FOOD AND TOYOTA LANDCRUISER AWESOME!!!!!!
I seen more then I EVER THOUGHT I WOULD!!!!
THANKS TO ROBERT, JESCA AND ENGAGI SAFARIS!!!!!
BEST TOUR COMPANY EVER!!!!

If you take one safari tour experience in your lifetime, it should be in Uganda with Robert and Engagi Safaris. I can't recommend Engagi highly enough.
From initial contact to conclusion, the attention to detail and kindness with which this operation is led is amazing and customer centric, reflecting what you need and value in an experience. I am based in East Africa for work so have had the luck of a few tours in region, but Engagi is truly unique and well run. Robert tailored my experience to suit my time frame and preferences and was a joy to travel with.
Gorilla trekking in Bwindi was the experience of a lifetime and Lake Bunyoni Rock Resort was absolutely beautiful and offered both relaxation and adventures such as boating, canoeing, island tours, zip lines and stellar food and views.
You can exhale and truly enjoy your wildlife experience with Engagi.

From arrival to departure, we were taken care of, as if we were their only concerns. Robert and William went above and beyond and seemed to know what we wanted before we ever asked. Nothing seemed too much trouble for them - and we were 3 overactive girls wanting everything! Even the car rides to the adventure - were part of the best adventures. We felt like we were IN the Safari before we got to the Safari. We were stopped by Lions sitting in the middle of the road, halted by a herd of Elephants, chased by Hippos (yes, Hippos), yelled at by Chimpanzees and sang to by every kind of bird imaginable - and that was just getting us to where we were headed. What a wonderful, first class experience. I have traveled around the world for 18 years - and Engagi Safaris is in my top 3 of all around experiences. Ok, #1 - The Best!!
