We recently got married in Bangkok and welcomed 40+ guests from the U.S. and Europe, many visiting Thailand for the first time. As someone with Thai roots and a background in global (corporate) event planning, I wanted a truly unique and authentic welcome lunch—but nothing felt quite right until I found A Chef’s Tour and the BKK Backstreets Food Tour.
From the first email exchange, their passion and attention to detail stood out. They arranged Tuk Tuks to take our guests to Chinatown followed by a walking tour, where we enjoyed iconic food spots without having to wait in line or for a table. The team ensured a seamless, informative, and delicious adventure, making it a highlight of our guests’ entire trip. While our groups were private, my now husband and I also had the opportunity to join a regular tour group in advance, and it was equally amazing. Even our local BKK-Thai family members called it one of the best experiences they’ve had!
Huge thanks to A Chef’s Tour (Lucian & Customer Support team) and the amazing BKK guides (K’ Nuch, K’Oh, K’Rach, K’Chai) + assistants(K’Pae, K’Millet, K’King, and K’Fifa) for executing the perfect start to our wedding weekend. If you're in Bangkok, don’t hesitate—just book it!

Worth every penny! We had Chai as our tour guide and Armi making sure everything was running smoothly. They were AMAZING. Can not recommend this tour enough and if you get Chai and Armi will be the best tour!

Just left the absolute best food tour I ever experienced. Please do not eat another the day of your scheduled tour. You literally have 15 more tasting. Serving may seem small but you get a lot of different food. Our tour guy was great.

An absolutely amazing experience through the streets of Bangkok! The guide was very professional and together with his “runners”, who always arranged tables at the various places, they gave us an unforgettable food and culture trip.

Tour guide Lara was knowledgeable and friendly. The food was great with lots of variety. My favourite dishes were probably the stewed pork hocks, the pork satay or the shrimp dumplings.

Not sure but I dont think pick up is an option but it's not hard, just message them they reply very fast. I cannot imagine you could do gluten free easy as there are alot of noodles, dumplings, soy involved it may mean it makes it unfair on the rest of the group to seek out gluten free venues,they may do a private tour, but just ask them directly they were truly very helpful.

You can advise of any special food requirements. My husband wasn't allergic to fish but he doesn't like it, so they adjust the tour to suit, chef Nuth will advise you.
