It was a great tour. Very leisurely. We were picked up early and slept in the comfortable van for the long drive. We saw all of the beautiful temples in the Chiang Rai area, including one that was really off the beaten path. The tour guide was very knowledgeable, enthusiastic, and friendly. Great day.

Went with my sister on a private tour to Chaing Rai. Tour guide (I think his name was Pop) was excellent. Very informative on the places we went to. We were picked up at the hotel on time for this tour. It was a long ride to Chiang Rai but went smoothly and very comfortable. I recommend this tour.

Awesome day trip. We were picked up by POP right on time . The car was large and comfortable for the long drive. He was very attentive to our comfort and any needs on the drive. Pop’s mastery of the area and the information behind the temples seemed to make the day fly by effortlessly. After days of seeing temples in Bangkok and Chiang Mai, I wasn’t sure if I could take another entire day of temples but I was wrong. Magnificent! A+++++ trip. Pop was an excellent guide. Highly recommend.

We did a private tour to Chiang Rai with Nuk and we really spent a good day. The guide Nuk was very nice and with a good command of English, so she explained us all the history of every place! We would recommend it!.
We really liked the places visited, apart from the super famous White Temple and Blue Temple, we loved seeing the Chinese Temple and we were almost alone in the last visit, that was great!

We decided to take a private tour to Chiang Rai because is a whole day trip and wanted to be comfortable. The tour was great, we visited 4 beautiful temples and felt lucky to have Jackie and our driver Chris with us. They went out of their way to make our trip very accommodating. Cold water was provided and we had plenty of space to relax and sleep in the van with good AC. We especially recommend this tour because is the only one we found that includes a visit to Wat Huay Pla Kang (most tours take you to the black house or the golden triangle). Great experience, money well spent

Wife and I traveled with POP to Chiang Rai. Pop was on time, and the car was big and comfortable . Pop was outstanding! He was very knowledgeable about the area and the temples. the tour was fun and a great learning experience . After days of temples in Bangkok and Chiang Mai, I though I had seen it all. This trip was amazing. You've never seen anything like these. Thank you to Pop for a great day. highly recommend !

Had an amazing time seeing the beautiful temples! We learned so much from our guides (the cutest couple!) on this tour and are so glad we chose this one. We really enjoyed the comfort of the private tour!

What will be the cost of a Taxi From ChiangMai to all the Temples at Chiang Rai ??Two way fare of a full taxi for 5adults?
Does this tour include any opportunities to experience or learn more about the Hill Tribes in Thailand, or is it more just going to see the temples, hot springs, and return?

I wanted to confirm before booking for our group of 4 that we could take this private tour in one direction only, from our hotel in Chiang Mai, take the tour along the way and then be dropped off at our hotel in Chiang Rai, along with our luggage. We would not need to return to Chiang Mai. Thank you for confirming!

I think you can do it but still you have to pay for the whole trip. I would be a little concerned about your luggage. Maybe you should check with them if they can fit you all, just in case.

What is the total drive time for this tour? Is it a scenic ride?

It's not a scenic route, lots of rural areas with villages. How long it takes really depends on you. It's 3 hours to get to Chiang Mai, then all the temples are 10-20 minutes away from each other. Each stop at the temple, your tour guide gives you one hour. If you like taking lots of pictures you could easily do an hour, if not it can also be a lot shorter than a hour. Then 3 hours back, the last temple stops in the middle, so the 3 hours don't seem that bad.
I liked taking a lot of pictures, so I used up the whole time. We started at 7AM and got back around 5-6PM.
