נופים מדהימים, מדריכים מעולים, ארגון יוצא מן הכלל בראשותו של ג'ק מחברת conical travel
ג'ק דאג לפרטים הכי קטנים, המלונות שסיפק היו מציינים, המדריכים מעולים עם אנגלית מצויינת, פעם אחת כשהיתה בעיה עם מדריך שלא דיבר אנגלית טובה מייד דאג להחליפו לשביעות רצוננו המלאה. כל מה שהבטיח התקיים על פי התכנית בצורה מדוייקת ואף מעבר לכך. המסעדות שהכליל בתכנית היו מצויינות עם שפע ורוחב יד.

y wife and I joined a 5-day tour of the unexplored Vietnam areas. I booked this tour because of the 5-star ratings. Based on our experience, I give 3-star at best. Let me say the positive things. The scenery in north Vietnam is incredible and you can see many good photos from the reviewers.
The main complaint I have is about our tour guide. First, he does not take us to the popular scenic points. There were several occasions when I saw a spot with many tourists taking pictures, we passed right through. I had to ask the driver to back up for us to take pictures.
On several occasions, the tour guide enjoyed taking pictures at scenic points and we had to wait for him to take pictures. I felt like he is the tourist and I am the guide.
I told the tour guide that my knee hurt and could not take challenging hiking routes. The next day, he still took us to a trail with a steep slope without warning. My wife almost lost her balance and felt.
The tour guide didn't tell me much about Vietnamese culture and history. All he did was complain about the corruption in Vietnam.
Since everyone gave a 5-star rating, I have to share my not-so-positive experience on Tripadvisor.

I hired this tour after reading several reviews about it and was definitely not disappointed. Our tour guide Giang was extremely nice, always wanting everything to be great for us, he even really cared about one of our friends food since he is allergic to seafood, he took photos of us and was always super attentive with us. Hung, our driver was also super nice and funny. If you're willing to know Northern Vietnam in a real and less touristy way, you need to hire this tour, you will not regret it!!

This was an exceptional tour from start to finish. We did a customised itinerary of this package, extending it a further 3 days to include more adventure (full day treks and kayaking). Jack as the liaison was extremely responsive and checked in on us regularly to make sure everything was OK.
Our guide Mr. Giang was very thoughtful, accommodating and patient with us. He was very experienced, and stayed with us throughout our long treks (even kayaking with us for around 13km). Best of all was his carefree adventurous spirit, joining us when we had little investigative detours, and describing all the fascinating plants, vegetables and herbs we encountered along the way. Nam our assigned driver was a very responsible and safe driver too. He constantly kept his van clean and well maintained and it unexpectedly came with free wifi on the road as well!
The accommodations are either new or well kept and decent, the food excellent. Views of the Dong Van valleys and highlands was breathtaking. Ban Gioc falls was gorgeous (especially without the China tourist crowd at the moment). The caves was beautiful, and kayaking on Ba Be was scenic and fun.
I highly recommend Conical Travel if you’re looking for an unforgettable adventure in far north Vietnam!

Customized to a 9 days tour. Our guide Giang is very knowledgeable, professional, joyous and friendly. He is able to guide us well and always put our safety first. Nam is our driver, good and steady driving skills, friendly and patience. Make our meals very enjoyable when we are eating together.

I had a awesome trip and would highly recommend Conical. Jack was very professional and flexible throughout the booking process. He also helped us in getting a great hotel in Hanoi and airport transportation. Our guide, Mr Le, was incredibly fun and caring. Mr Hung, our friendly driver drove safely on the winding roads. The itinerary was packed with amazing countryside scenery, activities and seeing/meeting the people. For those who like more hiking activity, you might want to extend a day or two in Ha Giang and Dong Van. Note that the tour brings you to a different town everyday, there is less chance to wash and dry your clothes. Besides, pack sun screen, insect repellent(Picaridin worked well). A light bedsheet and towel if you have luggage room. To conclude, I'm impressed with the quality of the trip. Northern Vietnam is immensely beautiful and no worries about COVid, it is very safe.

A fantastic travel experience with Mr Le Bac (our guide), and Mr Herng (our driver). Is not Where you travel to but who you travel with that make our trip a very memorable one!
Instead of touch and go (photo stop) , I requested to for a little more time at the observatory tower (is just too beautiful to rush).
Mr Le know that I have just recover from my knee injury , he really took good care when come to slippery road. Cycling in the villages up and down the slope can be quite challenging . I have requested to share a kayak and Mr Le let me just seat and relax as a passenger (in the kayak). That helps a lot! A good hiking Sandle (for the waterfall visit) and hiking shoe is quite essential (for the 1.5 hours and 2 hours hike). No coffee in the villages (may want to bring your own)
The happiness route hike (5km) is not as tough as I imagine , beautiful walk in the village . If you bring some warm clothing to donate the the poorer village (for the H Mong children), some basic medication like antibiotics cream , touring and doing some community work will be awesome .
Pack and go trip , u can’t really wash and dry your clothes (dry fit pants / shirt will be good ) . (The adapter , foldable hanger from decathlon is very useful, sun block , water bottle , insect repellent , they are very helpful )
Overall , I am very grateful for this trip (small group 3-4 is really good ) .
One simple info , Mr le bought a birthday cake via the homestay owner, my good friend have a very pleasant surprise ! Thank you Mr Le for being so thoughtful (thanks to Conical travel too) ..

It was well organised tour to explore the northern Vietnam in Ha Giang.
Our guide Mr.Le was a fun loving person and he was taking care of our small group of 3 paxs throughout the trip. We were enjoying the tour with plenty of spectacular nature scenery in the mountain area. The homestay in local tribe village was an unique experiences that not to be missed.
Highly recommended to get Conical tour book your hotel in Hanoi as they were offered us a good hotel rate.

It was such an unforgettable experience in our life to book this trip according to our friends' suggest. Different from other places which are very crowded, this 6-day tour took us the the far north Vietnam in Ha Giang, Cao Bang, and Ba Be Lake. These destinations are less-touristy and offer top-of-the-world landscape.
We had such a lucky chance to meet and stay with the local ethnic people there including Hmong, Yao, Tay and Nung. With the help of our super guide Jack, everything seemed easier to connect with the locals and learn about their unique cultures and lifestyles.
A great trip of lifetime. Love it.

Hi, if you want an awesome experience with this Northern loop, a motobike trip seems to be a better choise.
