See the titles. It's been 2hrs and I've seen 2 cockroaches. You're better off taking the luxurious sleeper bus.

We are so sorry about the problem. However, we have the housekeeper to clean the cabin daily, we provide tourist train and cockroaches are not acceptable.
We also have the ticket counter who recheck all the cabins before giving to the clients, we are sure that our cabins are clean, we did further research and don’t know who are you, we also contacted you in message (Tripadvisor) please check to the inbox.
We also have the travel desk with our operator who will issue the ticket and help you check in with QR code ticket. She must have had your WhatsApp if you were our guests, so you can contact us right when you were on train, so we can support right away.
Lastly, we are sorry for your bad experience. For next time or return, please contact us directly to get the best service quality and we guarantee to offer you the clean cabins.

Comfortable enough but the room was infested with cockroaches so somewhat difficult to sleep with them crawling on you.

We checked but did not find you. No customers on the train said there were bugs in the cabin. We do tourist train cabins, not local train cabins.
You may booked with someone else, these dates near holiday we don't have any train bookings either.

Sa Pa overnight train be warned it may be called luxury but it travels very slow, more like 40/50 kms per hour and is very noisy. It is quite lovely having your own carriage with your family but if you are a light to medium sleeper don’t expect to get any sleep. I felt like I was in an automatic car wash that kept going for 7 hours!!

Thank you very much for sharing your experience. It is the normal train and not luxury. It is usually the local experience and noise is unavoidable. Your advice for the light sleepers is very correct. We agree. So we do hope other guests should consider if they want to go with overnight train.
