We had the best day in Ninh Binh! Each activity was more spectacular than the last. Loan (our guide) was friendly, knowledgeable, organized, and passionate about sharing Vietnamese culture with visitors. Our driver was an absolute traffic ninja and kept us safe and on schedule, despite the crazy roads! And I loved how the group was small, allowing for a more personal experience.
This is by far my favourite tour in Vietnam!

All the planning of the was great.
Our guide, Bob Vu was really interesting qith the history of the country.
All the activities were awesome !
We had so much fun.
Not too physical, great amount of time for each activity.

We had a lovely day at Ninh Binh with our guide Linh who explained every detail with passion and patience. The boat ride was lovely along the fields. We had a safe and comfortable ride as both the driver and our guide ensure we had a smooth, safe and lovely time.

If you’re limited with time then this is a good tour for you. A lot is packed in one day but that activities are well thought out and rewarding. Shout out to Bob, our fantastic guide who kept things moving along, interesting and fun.

I'd say the main highlight was that the group was small with 7 of us that made me select Aloha. Our tour guide Linh was a hospitable guide and she climbed the hill with us, that's the most tiring part of the trip. But since it was scheduled as the first activity and in the morning, the allowed us to spend the other activities well. Our driver always had cold drinks and cold wet towels to keep us refreshed, and he drove safely, which is a feat considering the traffic in Vietnam. Wonderful day trip overall!

Really informative tour. Request Bob if you want to be well informed of Vietnam and Ninh Binh! The weather was nice and we happened to bump into a rehearsal of some lion dance on the Tam Coc today. The transportation was very clean and comfortable. They were nice to offer to pick us up from West Lake for a small fee too.

Normally I am not a fan of guided tours. However, this one to Ninh Binh was super organized and really fun. Our guide Maya and our driver Cuong made a super effort and really livened up the whole tour. The activities are very well selected and show the highlights of the region. Because it is a tour, it was sometimes a pity not to stay length eg at the Mua Cave. Nevertheless, the pace was very pleasant, Maya has not rushed us and was super helpful to take photos and tell us a lot about the places. The pickup was also great, although our Unterlunft was not in the Old Quater, we could still be picked up and the booking went through 1 day before without problems. So overall it was a really great tour and I can recommend it to everyone. Ninh Binh is worth eigtl for 2 days if you have the time and can organize it yourself. But for all those who want to make a relaxed day trip, this one was perfect.

If you book this trip I hope you get Bob Vu as your tour guide. He is very funny and a really good guide. He makes everything more interesting. The best thing about the tour is the trip on bicycle, because in the Vietnamese weather it is nice to take a bicycle trip for the cool breeze and you get to see the beautiful landscape on another perspective

How far is the bike ride and is it hilly or flat and paved road or dirt? Thanks!

It lasted c. 45 minutes and was flat. It was on a mix of dirt tracks and road (most of it is on proper paths/roads). There were a couple of short muddy sections (obviously depends on recent weather) that resulted in some dirty shoes as people steadied themselves.

We don’t know how to ride a bike, can we join this tour? Could we walk around instead ? If not which day trips don’t require riding a bike. Also, our visit to Hanoi is in December, will it be too cold to take day tours like this.

We took the tour Dec 2022 and it felt great as far as weather goes.
For the bike ride, my wife and one kid rode on a rental motor scooter, driven by our tour guide for an extra 200,000 VND (~ $9 USD) on the spot. I took the other kiddo on the back of my bicycle in a child-seat.

There is a time limit fir going up tbe mountain because the guide wants to take you to the cave and lunch. Because there is enough time for lunch, tell him you want to climb the mountain steps and to give you more time. The bike ride is absolutely optional and some don’t do it
