We had a delightful cooking class tonight with Trung and Ms. Thuy. We learned so much about Vietnamese culture and cooking, plus we had a lesson on how to cross a street of six lanes of moving traffic! The food was all delicious and fun to prepare. Highly recommend! Cám Ơn.

Our market tour with Trang was fun and she explained many things about food and food customs in Vietnam.
Then we went back to the kitchen and made Pho Bo and Pho rolls plus a tasty dipping sauce. She explained well, demonstrated then had us practice.
We learned a lot and had an enjoyable time at Hidden Hanoi. I highly recommend Hidden Hanoi market tour & cooking class.

Vi havde en fantastisk oplevelse hos Nikita, som først tog os til det lokale marked, for at lære os om de madvare vi skulle bruge senere, samt om kulturen omkring madvarerne og markederne.
Madlavningen blevet styren med sikker hånd, men med et stort smil hele vejen. Nikita er fantastisk til at lære fra sig, og hjælpe/guide undervejs.
Maden smagte fantastisk og det var en helt igennem uforglemmelig oplevelse.
Vi glæder til at prøve selv at lave Bun Cha.
Kan kun anbefales at prøve jeres egen cooking class med markeds besøgs.

We really enjoyed our small group cooking class. It was not only about getting to know how to bring the tasty Vietnamese kitchen on the plate but rather to deep dive into the country’s culture. Our teacher was so willing to answer every question about Vietnam and it’s heritage. The building incl. garden was such a lovely place and standing in the kitchen felt like home. Highly recommend the class & experience! Definitely worth the money and the nice farewell gift.

I found Hidden Hanoi in the Lonely planet guide. I wanted to have a mix of basic Vietnamese language lessons and cooking lessons over 6 days. Nikita the owner arranged a very good itinerary. My teacher Ms Trang, was very good and very patient. She also encouraged me to speak, which I was a little nervous to do, but she persuaded me. Ms Trang also taught me a lot about local Vietnamese life. I had a great time, thankyou 🙏

I came for a cooking class, but it was more of that : an invitation for an authentical moment of sharing with Nikita, the host and the cooking chef. The cooking class was very well organised with fresh and surprising ingredients coming from the market to prepare Bun Cha tipical Vietnamese food. After the preparation, we share the meal together which was the good occasion to ask about the country and his culture, and received the good advices. Every thing is curated in the little details with a little surprise at the end, but I don’t want to spoil :)

We had a cooking class with Nikita. We could choose meat/seafood/vegetarian. We chose the seafood - it felt personalized from the beginning. Nikita first took us to the market where she told us all the ingredients we were going to cook with. When we returned to Hidden Hanoi, all the ingredients were ready and we started preparing and cooking! Then we ate everything! 100% recommended. Nikita sent a taxi to pick us up and take us back. She greeted us with a welcome drink, we had different teas throughout the afternoon, and we were given a cooking gift to take home. We were two adults but Nikita has children and I’m sure will create an adventure for those with little ones too.

We had an amazing day with Nikita. We made bun Cha and learned so much about Vietnamese culture and traditions! To be honest, on the same trip, we had already done two street food tours with Nikita which were also amazing. We're now back home and have already made the bun cha once and hope to make it again soon. Everyone had such a good time. We will definitely do this again on our next VN trip!

We did a cooking class of 4 wonderful Vietnamese every day dishes and had so much fun! Trang first showed us a local market and even though we live here and had been so many times we learned some very interesting things. The class was well prepared, Trang was lovely and there even was someone to clean up our mess after each step ( ;
The food was delicious and I will definitely cook those recepies at home!

This was an excellent experience! I contacted Mrs. Nikita to inquire if I could join a food tour as a solo traveller. Unfortunately no food tours were being organised (the minimum is 2 people) but she suggested I could join the Hanoian daily cooking class. This was a to-the-point class in a small group, led by the very friendly Trang. She showed us around a local market (after teaching us how to cross a highway on foot!) Afterwards we learned some everyday dishes for Hanoian people, which were simple but delicious. After the meal we prepared, we were treated to tea and fruit and a little extra gift. Time really flew chatting with Trang about food, Vietnam, French influence on both, ...
