We were actually upgraded at the last minute as we initially booked the Mon Cherie Cruise (Copying Travel Vloggers, Sammy and Tommy). Our room ended up being in the Executive Room with Private Balcony on the second floor and we could not be any happier. The cruise was as luxurious as can be. Our Cruise Manager, Cherry, was so attentive to our needs and I even connected with her on traditional Vietnamese songs that I grew up listening to in the states. Gin, Andrew, and everyone else who were servicing the cruise were so kind and provided the utmost respectful service we have experienced. Tuan was our tour guide to Cat Ba island as I enjoyed conversing with him about life in Vietnam and the history of the Ha Long (In Vietnamese, that translate to Descending Dragon).
Genuinely, I wish the cruise could go for another day because the experience itself was well worth it. Highly Recommend!
Best advice: Drinks are a little hefty as compared to the rest of Vietnam - Wait out for locals rowing their boats nearby to purchase 100,000 Dong (about $5 USD) for 3 beers. Additionally, the cruise does periodic happy hour where everything is buy one, get one free. Stock up there :D

We had an absolutely brilliant time on the 2 night cruise. From the moment we stepped on David looked after us. It was our honeymoon so they went the extra mile to decorate our bed and for dinner the first night we had a special romantic table and were serenaded. David was very attentive and made sure we had a really memorable time. Other highlights were the never ending 5 star food, kayaking through the caves, cooking demonstration and morning Thai Chi sessions lead by cruise manager Huang (Elvis). Huang is super professional and also keeps it entertaining the perfect balance. The happy hour cocktails were a treat overlooking the beautiful sunset. We will definitely be recommending Peony cruises as their staff were second to none. Do the 2 nights you won’t regret it!!

Absolutely wonderful cruise. The room and amenities are amazing and you can really relax. The food is lovely, breakfast and lunch buffet, and five course meal for dinner, all included. Be careful you may end up paying a lot on drinks, because they are so good too. The activities proposed include cooking class, fishing swimming, kayak and a day tour with bicycle riding (or electric car) and discovery of people's life on Cat Ba island. The staff is incredible, so friendly professional and helpful. Our manager was Cherry, and main staff were Gin and Andrew.

Lovely cruise. Room was spacious with a bath and a shower. Staff was kind. All activities ran smoothly with Cherry as the manager. The meals were all good. Loved it.

This was so relaxing with the most amazing views you will see! We booked the suite and it was 100% worth it! I would just caution anyone on the drink prices. We ordered a bottle of moscato for dinner one night, which was the quality of a good grocery store moscato… but ended up being $90 USD. You won’t know the drink prices until you get the check on the last day of the cruise. Otherwise, a fantastic experience and a wonderful memory in Vietnam.
The boat is very clean with updated amenities. The staff is BEYOND helpful! You will get 5 star service the entire time!

We thoroughly enjoyed our time with Peony Cruises and would definitely recommend that you take the 3D2N cruise rather than the shorter cruise it gave us much more time to relax on the boat, we purposely decided not to do the first two excursions, which are the Bamboo boat and the day trip to a local village beach & swimming, so that we could maximize our time relaxing and taking in the stunning scenery we just chilled out on the upper deck or sat on our balcony which for us at least was bliss. Our table waiter for our cruise was Bobby and he was the perfect person so lovely chatting with him and hearing about family life for him in Vietnam he was so lovely

Such a beautiful boat with such lovely staff. I have been on a Ha Long cruise in the past and although that was also a great cruise this company is so much better. The rooms were lovely and comfortable and the bath with a window to the bay was a great place to watch the world go by. Our waiter Hieu was a treasure along with the cruise manager Houng. Definitely recommend.

I was with my family of 11 from (24 to 26 Dec), where we celebrated my brother’s birthday and Christmas on board. Accommodation, food, and the activities were great.
Special thanks to the crew, led by Hwang, Jin, and Cherry who made the activities so enjoyable.
The picture shown is with Jin and a few of us. I would like to give him a special mention, as he was the waiter assigned to take care of our group of 11. He was very attentive and really took care of us.

I highly recommend this cruise! Incredibly scenic and filled with great activities such as Kayaking, swimming, and cave exploring. Our group of 11 was lucky to have Bobby as our cruise meal waiter and general advisor. Booby answered all our questions and offered excellent advice.
